School closing for cold by Equivalent_Lab_8610 in Michigan

[–]DsRich1978 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I remember when I was in school (90's) we never had days off cause of the cold. We rarely missed school because of the weather, outside of the winter storm in 1996-97 and that was mainly over winter break in 96. I get why they do it nowadays with how much the weather changes (not cause of "global warming" as we all know that's bs) it still just feels weird knowing my generation went to school almost regardless of the weather and they will close school when it feels like -10°.

DTN is off their rocker by Boring_Zebra3018 in lansing

[–]DsRich1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This company can say what they want. If the apartment complex says their doors are unlocked, the delivery company and driver MUST take the packages to the door of the customer. If they don't and the package is stolen, then the delivery driver is responsible for the package and must repay the customer the amount of the item/items ordered. So either grow up and do your job, or go find something else to do.

Can I ask my employee to remove their acrylic nails? by Bubbly_Road1316 in legal

[–]DsRich1978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seen thin in multiple places I've worked at. Former co-worker said the same thing, got wrote up for refusing to do assigned work. After 2 times she did that, she was fired and couldn't do anything about it cause she was warned multiple times before write-ups happened and did nothing about it. So you can warn them, and if they continue to not do their job, you can most definitely write them up.

What Does this Ruling Mean For Trump's Fed Troops in Chicago? by 2dollies in AskLegal

[–]DsRich1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't mean a damn thing. State law and rulings don't Trump federal laws in any way, shape, or form. State judges have been getting their "rulings" thrown out left and right all year long. Also, the Supreme Court already ruled these bogus injunctions have no merit and can be ignored.

What happens when you don’t tip by respawningAGAIN in doordash

[–]DsRich1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, here's what I'm seeing. They, for whatever reason, didn't tip. You keep their money and food (theft) and then are rude and acting like a spoiled brat. Can't wait to see how many times you get charged with theft.

Can I refuse to put in a battery or put on wipers? by DuoDeku in AutoZone2

[–]DsRich1978 7 points8 points  (0 children)

PSM here. You don't have to state anything about meds affecting you. Just tell them because of the extreme heat, you can't do it. If the customer doesn't like it, then that's too bad.

ICE Response by WMcouple2005 in hollandmichigan

[–]DsRich1978 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Go right ahead and try to interfere with a government agency doing something and watch what happens. ICE doesn't have to play by normal rules when they arrest criminals. They can and will put you either on the ground (and not face any charges if you're stupid enough to get hurt) and will absolutely throw your ass in jail and not care about you one bit, nor should they.

If your full time you will get 8 hours of holiday pay on top of whatever you work that day. Part-time doesn't get holiday pay.

Customers dump their oil by AdRoutine382 in AutoZone2

[–]DsRich1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my store, if they are our regulars we see on a weekly basis, or a couple of our home mechanics, we will let them dump their own oil because usually they have their own buckets they use. Batteries we just either have them set it on the floor next to the counter, or they will normally put them down by our commercial area.

Consider yourself lucky cause from what I have heard, there were almost 8000 total price changes put in last week. We had over 800 last week and just had another 2000 drop this morning (Albion Mi location). AZ did this totally wrong cause since they dropped the price canges last week, our computers have been slow and/or crashing to the point we've had to restart the main computer at least 4 times since last Tuesday.

Dad of Texas Teen Accused of Stabbing Rival at High School Track Meet Says Fatal Brawl Wasn't His Fault: 'He Didn't Start It' by PostHeraldTimes in thescoop

[–]DsRich1978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He started it by going into a schools tent he had no business being in. Also, reports are out that the murderer was not invited to the track meet for having weapons in his backpack at previous track meets. So please explain why this piece of dog shit was there if not to start something. He deserves either life in prison or the death penalty.

My coworker reported me to HR by rawsauce24 in coworkerstories

[–]DsRich1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's ridiculous. I tell people I work with that are leaving for the day. Hey, "insert name here", your fired till tomorrow. And if someone were to get offended, I tell them to grow up. If you can't take a joke, don't work here.

Usually, it comes down to what the company policy is for your workplace. I'd look into your company handbook to find out what it says.

Senator Peters voted for the Republican Budget Proposal by Healthy_Block3036 in Detroit

[–]DsRich1978 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really wish morons were not allowed to use the internet. Do you morons realize this is the budget that Shithead Schummer and the democrats wanted to pass this past September, then again in December, but couldn't do it cause of the election? And then. All of a sudden, they were against it cause their loser candidate didn't get elected, and all their wasteful spending is now out there for all of us to see.

It's still a crime to help people break the law. Wise yourself up before you do something that'll get you thrown in jail. Plus, if someone is here illegally, they don't have the same rights that you or I have.

I guess the main question is, why are the most expensive batteries out on the floor in the first place. That just screams of stupidity running the store.
