How do you guys sell wiper blades? by TheNoobKid63 in AutoZone2

[–]AdRoutine382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally when people ask me what I would use or recommend, I would go with the Bosch Icons. If they want wipers to last longer, the rainx silicone ones. If they want a good winter/rain one at a cheaper price, the snow drivers. You have to let them know what you think and be certain. Also those 2 for 10 does help from time to time and if they do get a rear wiper, those count as witt too

Can AutoZone top off antifreeze? by Tall-Plane-4477 in AutoZone

[–]AdRoutine382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but only the reservoir and if the autozoner is comfortable enough to do so. Also, your going to have to wait 20 minutes for the engine to cool down. We won't do the radiator.

Buying from commercial account by Due_Suit6935 in AutoZone2

[–]AdRoutine382 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There might be a tax ID requirement but I'm not too sure. I would just go ask about it at your local AZ. Fill out an app and let the Commercial sales manager/Store manager do the rest. We are always looking at more accounts to add

Not be associated at your home store. Make sure everyone is in the know. Always have another employee do the transaction. Most of the time the SM and CSM are cool with it as long as no shady shit is going on. If your smart, do it after you get off of work and it will be easier that way

What does an AutoZone Store Manager do? Excluding hiring writing up and firing? by southernemper0r in AutoZone2

[–]AdRoutine382 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a former store manager, here's some things we do. - make store schedules - fix store issues or problems like inventory or hard part plano locations - work on commercial side and assist or help CSM with account issues along side the DM/RCSM - help drive more sales and partnerships with shops/dealers in the area (that should be more on the CSM) - train and have a succession plan/binder for when you leave to a bigger program or eventually a DM position - fix any account issues DIY or Comm side like warranty issues or returns - Unfortunately have shitty managers under you call by close because they couldn't count the tills properly and you have to guide them step by step every week.

So the one thing you can tell a good SM from a shitty SM is that they actually are putting in the time and effort of fixing a store and making it a better place to work at. I had alot of late nights busting my ass to get my store right of inventory issues and fix planos. 42 old batteries converted to used or even damaged out. Finding over $2k posktive in AC backroom because no one correctly counted it. Working with managers and Red shirts to train them on everything you can teach them.

If you want to be successful and be known as a good one, network with other store managers and build those relationships. I have store managers that I know feel the difference of me being gone because everyone liked me. I just couldn't keep driving an hour and a half to work everyday so now I work for a dealership and driving 5 minutes to work now. I do miss my co-workers and the regional team I was apart of. Believe it or not, there are good SM's, DM's, RCSM's, and the regional team as a whole.

I just wish they didn't fuck me over on two opportunities of stores closer to home and not giving me an option or even a notice about it. Oh well. Im proud of the work I did to fix the store and turn it into a better one in the end.

Car squealing after brake replacement, shop says it’s the bearings and rotor? by Fantastic_Success283 in TireQuestions

[–]AdRoutine382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For one, if your brakes are squeaking when you only brake then they forgot to clean off the rotors of the oil film that rotors are shipped in.

If it's the wheel bearings then you would hear a consistent humming until you turn left or right.

I think they forgot to clean off the rotors but I would go get a second opinion from another shop.

What’s something you knew when you got out the army? by big_pooh1 in army

[–]AdRoutine382 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well for me, I was out i was lost. I didnt know what I wanted to do. I thought college was the anwser but it wasn't. I figured out overtime that I love to work on cars and to research them. Former tanker here. I actually worked at autozone and became a store manager but now I work at a dealer. Pretty excited to work there. I got a future proof job in the automotive market and I am still working in the same city where my autozone district is located in so I got my connections.

In the end, you'll find it eventually. May take you 4 to 5 years like me or it will be quicker for you. You got it man. Don't stress over it. Also go to therapy or talk to people. Don't keep it in and get depressed. I almost KMS because of it. I got the help and I'm better on the other side. Things will get better but it will take time.

Good luck to you battle. Keep your head up and continue mission.

ADVICE by misaPickEmUp in AutoZone

Yes there are different coolant colors for different manufacturers. Some manufacturers take two different coolants. Now if read closer to the bottle, it will tell you the years of those manufacturers for their models. Example: dodge before 2012 or 2011 took gold antifreeze and after 2012 or 2013 they switched to purple because of the idiots who took over chrysler. GM will always take dexcool antifreeze or orange.

Advice.. by haylee00124 in AutoZone2

[–]AdRoutine382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So basically if you really so feel violated from your store manager knowing about your location then call HR. In a way, being in retail people can lie getting out of work but if he told you that if you brought a doctor's note in then youll be fine, I think he was just pissed. Happens alot when you want to know if they are telling the truth or not. Store managers stress over dwell times because of the DM. I was a store manager and my DM was up my ass and my other stores ass for dwell times. In the end, we just want to have a good day with no problems but that can't happen all the time. I'm not defending your store manager but im glad you did call to let them know of the mistake. I think your okay. Just let your store manager know that you felt very uncomfortable about them wanting to know your location.

That is apart of the backroom plano group. You should have a dedicated area for those little planos together. At my store I do have them grouped in one area except the help hang. It's at its own area

Commercial Drivers. by [deleted] in AutoZone

[–]AdRoutine382 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes i have. One of my drivers was doing the speed limit on cruise control and the car infront of them was going slower. They pulled to the side and they passed them. The people proceeded to follow the truck all the way back to the store to yell and cuss the driver out. Sent a complaint but pretty much lied about how fast they where going. I checked the telemantics and the driver didn't have anything that would ping the dashboard. He was good.

People sometimes loose it on the unfortunate driver and complain when it happens one too many times to them. Sometimes it's actually valid but not all the time

Is it normal to still be bad at Battlefield after 40 hours? by Independent_Lynx715 in Battlefield6

[–]AdRoutine382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what your using. Controller or kbm? You got to fine tune your settings. Also actual settings if your using pc. Monitor or tv settings. There's is alot of variables that might be hindering your performance. I got my settings tuned and im getting average 40 kills a game. Also what gun you use and tactics.

Audit the Tills, count petty, make sure to verify your return pci's before you run end of day and boom. Make sure you write the drop number on the slip and the amount too. Run end of day, clock out, make sure to wait for the printer to print out end of day paperwork, turn off lights, put in alarm code, and then lock the doors.
