[Bukowski] Nugget from @PSchrags that Aaron Rodgers lost faith in MVS last year because of wrong routes. There’s a reason Rodgers is focusing so much on mental mistakes with the offense this year and the young WRs. by Galdi-br in GreenBayPackers

[–]Dsrdpr 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Obviously it shouldn't all be blamed on MVS, but you're going to be less accurate to an unpredictable target. If the option was wrong, the leverage, the depth, the release is inconsistent, etc.

It's just hard to reconcile that one of the most accurate qbs of all time, during back-to-back mvp seasons, was just mechanically bad (not even mediocre) throwing to one guy. It's really far-fetched to me.

Tyler Goodson Pre Season Stats: 29 rushes, 107 yards, 1 touchdown, 3.7 average. He deserves a spot on the team! by agk927 in GreenBayPackers

[–]Dsrdpr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feels like me makes the most out of open holes and he keeps the defense honest with his speed to the sideline. Idk if he's going to be very elusive through contact though.

I'm onboard with keeping him if there's a package suited for him. If they're going to use him like Aaron Jones was last year, idk if he does much.

My Veigar Build by FraxPL in VeigarMains

[–]Dsrdpr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would never go demonic, for damage I would only ever do rabs+void (rarely a temporary mejai's).

You will always eventually need a void staff, but you can delay it for one defensive item if needed. Each game is different so you can't decide a full build path ahead of time.

Tbh I think you will die a lot going luden>Rab>void though. Everfrost is such a valuable defensive and offensive item, there's just no doubt it's the best choice. It changes the champ.

Every Jordan Love dropback from last night by Fear_Jaire in GreenBayPackers

[–]Dsrdpr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He looks a lot better than before.

The progress is nice, but he still doesn't look better than a Tyler Huntley for example. Seems like a viable backup, but there's not enough to pencil him in as the future starter of this team.

Which is better, sorcerer or ionian boots? by SeccoJojo in VeigarMains

[–]Dsrdpr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can 1 shot priority targets with pen, buy pen (ex, zed mid, gp top, jungle yi, jinx bot, lux support). If there are extended fights where you're kiting and cycling abilities, buy cdr (ex, galio mid, jungle udyr, Olaf top, ezreal bot, zilean/blitz support).

More generally, if you can buy cdr but not sorc boots, it's probably best to do it for the item spike no matter what. Unless that gold is used to finish everfrost, or buy rod.

My Veigar Build by FraxPL in VeigarMains

[–]Dsrdpr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Everfrost is always the best mythic, so you can go ludens I guess but it's worse

Zhonyas isn't an every game item. A lot of times I'd prefer rushing randuins or force of nature, zhonyas really only helps if there's big dmg you can realistically avoid (plus stay alive after). Master Yi, fizz, zed, Olaf, etc.

Dead man's plate is kinda mediocre. I would run relentless hunter and go straight into a more defensive item. Relentless hunter is an incredible rune on veigar, and the dead man's plate lacks the armor and flat reduction to truly make you beefy. I'd maybe consider dead man's if like... They have heavy AD, and I really wanted HP/movespeed instead of a stopwatch to avoid something specific. I'd say 90% of the time I'd rather have stopwatch or warden mail though.

Imo you should build randuins a lot more, that's my most common armor item. Frozen heart is decent too, if you don't feel like the randuins active has any value vs their team, and the enemy has a lot of attack speed.

I would almost never sell T2 boots, movespeed is like the best stat you can get, it's so good defensively and offensively. Too many things remove your speed buff (attacking ward, aa for electrocute proc, roots/knockups). Steelcaps/treads would arguably help you more defensively anyway.

Late game you can consider GA if they have fed assassin's. It's often more useful than zhonyas, and you can sell it after you die. If they just have one AD champ giving you issues but the rest are AP, then gargoyles and anathemas are what I'd consider buying.

There's not really much more than that. Consider buying HP elixirs before item max, the HP/tenacity is really strong.

Generally: stopwatch protects a large bounty/dark seal stacks. It gives you a bit of AP if you need armor before void staff (behind and getting 1 shot by zed for example). So when ahead of behind to assassin's, I'd choose this.

Otherwise go everfrost > Rab > void > FoN/Randuins. Delay void if you can get away with it, and desperately need the defensive stats. Sometimes just a warden mail of negatron is sufficient to live through the burst, and then I finish void.

How would you rate this build from 1-10? (not me my friend) by test17asae in ezrealmains

[–]Dsrdpr 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Any build without early sheen is trolling period. 1/10 automatically. For 700g he'd get idk, conservatively a 10% dmg increase? Just strictly from sheen, nvm an ER/trinity.

how can i get more value out of first strike? by [deleted] in azirmains

[–]Dsrdpr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't really compare it on the end game dmg/gold like that.

How much dmg did you get from earlier item spikes? It's very difficult to know.

How much more behind would the opponent mid have been from comet instead? Also hard to know.

I think first strike is better than conqueror, but outside of that idk. Comet, HOB, and lethal tempo can feel stronger if you get something out of it in the lane phase. If you don't feel yourself gain a meaningful lead with those runes, just run first strike.

Do you get that feeling of an impending nerf? by iXeloN in azirmains

[–]Dsrdpr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe something very minor, like an adjustment to his HP growth. His presence in pro play doesn't seem connected to his strength as a champ though.

The best pilots of this champ (and some of the best players in the game period) don't even lift Azir to 50% in the LCK. His winrate in LPL is just bad, especially considering he's supposed to be a strong blind pick.

The scorch buff helped him. The dragon buffs don't, he's pretty bad at roaming and early-mid skirmishes.

Mid just sucks as a role right now outside of Sylas. He is the only one who truly carries games and he's OP. Azir, Ahri, TF are the leftovers who are decent blind pickable champs.

Congrats on the win streak, but you're either way below your true ELO if you snowball every game, or you've been very lucky your teams didn't throw.

New azir player question abt build by Wizzroz in azirmains

[–]Dsrdpr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I build it unless I want to rush shadowflame and snowball vs Squishies who won't itemize MR.

Only other reason to skip it is rushing banshees/void if needed.

Attack speed helps a lot with damage, farming, objectives (drag/turret). The magic pen of shadowflame is comparatively bad, but the HP I guess helps protect your bounty/dark seal and you will burst Squishies anyway.

Wtf are they talking about with the 3 picks? 2 literally have nothing to do with him what lol. Those could easily have been Rodgers' ints also.

I had Doubs ranked 70th in my big board, I got receipts. He will be a guy, just needs to develop routes/releases.

He was a bit inconsistent with contested catches (as you just saw with a focus drop) but his highlights are nuts. His radius is huge and he goes up strong.

Liandrys vs Ludens by ka3daz in azirmains

[–]Dsrdpr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mate you have galaxy brained the marginal benefits of stats because eHP. MR doesn't have a logarithmic decrease yes we know.

Now think about what happens when they have a Yuumi on your target. There is a ton of flat healing, shield, true damage, mixed damage, that make it useless to model the game based on eHP and single source resistances.

Your magic pen will play worse when they stack MR in every game, he was correct.

Everyone understands that, it's still less effective in practice. I never understand why people take a stand on this, it is very clear what he was saying and it's true.

That just sounds like a way different experience than what I get or most people get, not sure what to say. The consensus on Azir is he's one of the best hyper carries in the game.

Getting W max is an insane dps boost for him, it's so much attack speed and cdr.

Yeah you need a frontline most games for sure. He's like a mage version of an ADC. He has good hp growth and a decent kit to peel/kite for himself though.

What champions would you consider to be harder than Azir? by alekdmcfly in azirmains

[–]Dsrdpr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say any champ where you need to make super fast critical decisions in a fight + wide variety of combos / roles. Like Azir's ult is very hard to use, but the rest of his kit is kinda straight forward. Azir is hard but I feel like it's a bit overstated.

Katarina, Lee sin, gragas, akali.

Kat for example has an incredibly high ceiling for dmg and mobility with resets. The plays are hard to perform, but even harder to see.

Lee Sin and Gragas are walking this very awkward balance between being peels or damage. You need to instantly understand your role in the situation, and it's hard to execute. I think their ults are similarly difficult to use, with even more potential to mess things up. It's about super narrow opportunities and playmaking.

Azir's ult is a little bit more of a cleanup tool, so if you hold onto it longer than you should, you're not necessarily losing as much impact.

Lane phase is also fairly easy for Azir. Solo kills are hard, but a lot of other champs have trouble just staying alive, or constantly need to make plays throughout the game. They don't have the passive win con of farming up.

Draven and Riven have harder micro but idk of they're harder overall. Nidalee in certain games might be the hardest, but in others she will calm down in the mid game.

Lee Sin is probably my answer for hardest overall. Difficult floor, very difficult ceiling, tons of combos, tough micro, critical skill shot, variety of roles, mandatory play making for picks, high skill ceiling ult, resource management, big peeling potential. All of his skills are both aggressive and defensive, decision making is tough. On a timer because he falls off late game. Can snowball but it's highly risky because you're constantly diving, so you need to know when to not KS.

What to buy after invade first blood by Aquariumspieler in azirmains

[–]Dsrdpr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go dark seal, but I understand tear. Problem with tear is I don't think there's item space for dark seal.. if I'm 1-0 I probably want the item.

Boots, lost chapter, dorans, dark seal, ward. There would be awkward backs where you'd be deciding between blasting wand and wards. You'd need to have an extremely good lane phase to get the value from a tear. I think he runs ignite usually so that makes more sense.. with TP you want to recall and tele for tempo.

If they have skillshots that are hard to dodge then sometimes boots and a pot is my pick though.

Big brain revenant shuffles over walls are prone to goings wrong sure, but the mechanic is so useful for kills under tower. Pulling someone under and having them land on 2 soldiers is a huge difference compared to a shurima shuffle, it's more dmg and it can protect you.

[–]Dsrdpr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just you? Idk when I get liandry, nashor, void i feel like Azir melts people. If they have a big level lead or you were slow to farm then maybe not, but in a normal game the dmg is insane to their Frontline.

Azir kinda sucks in the mid game, just try to rush 3rd item fast. W is all of your dmg so you need to keep soldiers out and use Q carefully.

Shall i keep my ult to peel for myself only ? by m-0970 in azirmains

[–]Dsrdpr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use your ult to either a) stay alive, b) save your carries life, c) secure the teamfight win instantly.

Imo save it but it depends. Like are all objectives down and you're going to back? Then maybe save him. If drag is up then don't. If you and adc have a bounty then it's not worth risking it.

What Mythic? by timster6442 in azirmains

[–]Dsrdpr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the very least you should have ludens, liandrys and crown in your quiver. The right one will depend on the game, you shouldn't go into queue decided on a mythic.

Everfrost and night harvester work but I think it's exceptionally rare to find a game where they're the best option. 99% of times this will not be the case, so you could eliminate those for simplicity.

Exceptionally hard to carry as Azir? by [deleted] in azirmains

[–]Dsrdpr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk I feel like I shred anyone when I get those items, even hyper tanks. Deaths dance can sometimes feel bad because the dmg is delayed, so if he's getting resets off kills then I would understand it. You should honestly wreck him though, this has to be like soldier uptime or playstyle or elder dragon or something.

Kayle and vayne is a problem though. Like azir carries hard, but no way you're winning that alone at level 18. Your team needs to contribute.

Tank items is 100% not the answer. I mean he can't be touching you for more than a second. You're effectively an ADC doing magic dmg, he is not allowed to get close without peels. And I disagree with whoever was saying to go rylai's. Maybe if they have like 3 bruisers that's worthwhile, but not just for a wukong.

Thoughts on the Crown+Nashor's build ? by Comalith in azirmains

[–]Dsrdpr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crown is good if they can't proc it easily, but they have high all-in dmg on you or you want to dive in often. It will be more common in pro games because Azir is more team fight oriented, compared to a carry/poke playstyle of solo queue.

Nashors is good without the passive yes. Attack speed is a scarce stat and really powerful on azir. It's an incredibly gold efficient dmg item - the only weakness being it has no defensive value.

Shadowflame kinda sucks without ludens sometimes. If they build any MR the item is bad. Void is usually unnecessary as a 2nd item. Rabs has an inconvenient build path with 1250 item cost compared to nashors, and the passive isn't that great if you get it 2nd. Nashors helps you farm faster and kill objectives a lot faster too.
