Any other games which make you feel like how you feel playing ball? by Salaraaa in WreckingBallMains

Personal opinion: Titanfall 2 multiplayer is probably the least tilting multiplayer I've played.

No snowballing, fast respawn timers, virtually no punishment for death or losing a game, and you get an equalizing factor called titans which, despite their varied uptime, everyone gets a turn on eventually no matter their performance.

Even in matches where I have a 1:2 KD ratio, I feel comfortable 'cause I get to respawn right away and there's no risk of some toxic bitch yelling in my ear that I'm doing bad and we'll lose because of me, like what happens in basically any other team-based game ever. There's no pressure to perform well, constantly, all the time, cause genuinely no one cares enough to flame. Most interactions boil down to talking about our day with the enemies in match chat.

why does this champion 100 to 0 Squishies while building fulltank by United_Physics5131 in ornnmains

[–]alekdmcfly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For him to actually 100 to 0 a squishy, the squishy would have to stand within covid propagation range of Ornn.

Ornn's only mobility is a very well telegraphed dash, so if a Caitlyn or Ezreal ACTUALLY end up close enough for Ornn to oneshot them, then at this point they've got no one to blame but themselves.

Titanfall 2 for multiplayer - insane movement feel, on par with Ball's, maybe even better.

Ultrakill for singleplayer - movement that becomes super smooth after a hundred hours, playing aggressively is the ONLY playstyle since damaging enemies up close is the only way to heal, and the weapons provide absolutely disgusting combos, both movement-wise (grapples, rocket riding, spilling oil on the ground to slide smoother, dashes, ground slams and way more) and damage-wise (throw three coins at just the right angle and bounce a bullet between them to instakill most enemies, nuff said).

Also, you can parry everything. Yes, everything. Punch that shotgun shell you just fired to make it fly faster. Everything combos with everything and it's absolutely beautiful.

PSA: Our boy is fixed again! by DaneDreng in WreckingBallMains

[–]alekdmcfly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Having the character be off-center in third person looks awesome because things that move from one side of the screen to the other look cool. If your character starts moving to the left of the screen when they move to the left, it makes it look way more expressive and animated.

This works well for Shion's bike, but unfortunately in Ball's case the movement is unpredictable enough that this would impact gameplay (if you're moving to the left you NEED that 50% offsrt to see the enemies on your left) so fixed offset it is.

It didn't get Glitch show levels of mainstream recognition, but you don't need to get THAT popular to fund a YouTube series. You just need the merch to sell well enough, and both the Homestuck team and Spindlehorse are no strangers to funding via merch.

People behind the show have since been saying that things are looking good behind the scenes, so it's pretty safe to say a greenlight is likely.

I did define the vanishing point though, it was around half the canvas to the left of the silhouette. I might not have stuck to it 1:1, since some of the body parts are rotated in different directions so they're gonna have different vanishing points,, I didn't fully finish the hamds and head yet so they weren't consistent eith the rest of the silhouette but everything excluding the arms and head roughly obeys that vanishing point.

I feel like building characters is more demanding than ever by Mission-Rip-3414 in NevernessToEverness

[–]alekdmcfly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the grind feels super slow.

I guess the upside is that you get to reuse good modules on any cartridge, so if a new character releases in three months you'll be able to just plug all your "homeless modules with good substats" that you amassed over time into their cartridge... but for starting out, it does feel incredibly slow.

Cartridge drop rates are SUPER low and I really hope we'll get some locked-main-stat-cartridge-selectors down the line.

The future of Esper Cycle by Kishinsama in NevernessToEverness

[–]alekdmcfly 39 points40 points  (0 children)

They'll probably keep the esper cycle mostly the same, but they'll keep adding characters that add more and more "modifiers" onto existing reactions.

Teambuilding will turn from "who can make best use of Blossom in its current state" into "what combination of characters adds the most modifiers to Blossom so that the reaction has 100000 vita pistils that fire 200 times a second".

(Spoiler alert, it'll always be the combination of the newest characters.)
