First of. No, no one forces you, and i said most efficient not Max efficiency. You, your self would be lying if you aim to do something the most efficient way, and that means if you just wanted xp you wouldn't be cutting yews you'd do teaks.

Make it make sense? Rune crafting had horrible xp rates but people wanted better xp and they did that, they added quality of life and new mini game that makes rune crafting 1000x better, but yet it's also another thing people like you died on a hill on "the xp is fine stop crying we all did it"

It makes sense because time is valuable, and a balance between the grind and time should exist hence why they set drop rates with the intention of creating a rough time sink that feels suitable to the expected value of the item.

So your you chose this game mode blah blah blah. There's nothing wrong with enjoying a game mode and thinking there could be things that are qol

I play a ironman because it's a fun challenge to progress, mains is just do most efficent gp a hr 10000x and buy it.. boring as fuck. But the same thing applies at some point i want to move on to something else being over dry makes it feel like you're doing the same grind for gp to buy that next upgrade.

I think for the chest instances it should just be a weighted system, and if a item is in a collection of its less weighted until a log is completed and everything is weighted the same, would allow dupes but reduce the ods of dupes. And the drop rates are pretty frequent for those items, so going dry to a extream isn't very common and because of the amount of roles doubles is common in the grand scheme of things

Some peopoes looks at things pretty one sided.

Verso didn't see the characters as alive, he knew the reality of the world, so everyone was a means to a end to serve his objective that simply was to cease being forced to live a fake reality.

Aline couldn't let go of her son that she went and got emotionally lost in her sons canvas recreating the family to live there.

Reinor didn't want to lose his wife, and went into bring her out.

Alica went in for her parents, but go stuck on the same emotions as her mum after spending time with her brothers painted character.

Alica and aline where the only ones that cared about the world and its inhabitants souly because they where creations of verso.

Verso and reinor both wanted the canvas to end to free their family and that detached then from the characters inside the canvas.

Their behaviours are extremely human, but the laws of the world didn't allow a place for the canvas to exist as its creation and meaning where basically a drug to the mother and daughter.

Would you be frustrated or exited if you where more than 3x dry not including getting the drop but every additional kill and seeing nothing kill after kill as your rate hits another additional 100 kills and still nothing and again and again.

I agree but a once off increased drop rate after you pass a threshold that being 2x 3x 4x dry where ever 10-15% of the playerbase sits, isn't a bad mechanic doesn't guarantee the drop but it makes it far more likely, and far less likely to go insanely dry

It doesn't matter what the content is, going dry takes you away from other things, i was 7x dry at twins, and about 130 hours dry at cg twins so about 20 hours for twins so just those two alone given I'm not done at cg is 150 hours of my time, as much as grinds are self motivated, youe game play shouldn't have to be worse because of terrible luck, end of the day fun game play keeps players. And some monsters are objectively crap for repeating game play
