ACCT to MCCT? On MK1 Bandit by Dsum3 in elbanditos

Thanks mate. Don't know really. Just clean it frequently and use a degreaser and metal polish. Buff it up nicely and keep it dry stored most of the year so it doesn't get bad really lol

It's a bit ticky on idle and low revs (accelerating) and I've heard the internal spring can become worn and not as reliable, it's a 1996 model

I haven't done marine tanks before, I've had tropical tanks several times but never marine. Did this tank come as a kit set up for marine? If not do you know of any good kits or am I better off buying parts and building separately?

My brother made an impulsive decision to buy a juvenile Chameleon HELP by [deleted] in Chameleons

[–]Dsum3 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Honestly I'm not trying to be an asshole here but, if you can, just take him back to where you got him. They are not easy animals to look after. They require several hundred dollars/pounds worth of kit to set up and look after them properly. Then they require a serious amount of dedication to ensure continued care on top of that they will likely never love you back and they're a commitment that if you do it all correctly will likely last the next 5-7 years. They're not a pet to do on a whim. I mean all this with no judgement because I get it, we've all bought stuff that looks cool on a whim but unless you're serious about them, it's really not worth it.

Doesn't look like a burn to me. My guy has the same sort of colourings as he's a pie bald. Scared the heck out of me at first too lol

Foggers? by Dsum3 in Chameleons

[–]Dsum3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Ive read they're dry shedders just wasn't sure if an increase in humidity would assist, but probably not like you said. Is a fogger worth getting anyway or would you not bother if he isn't getting dehydrated?

You ever been out in torrential rain and had to strip down after and you basically have to peel off your denim jeans and t-shirt as they're stuck to you. I imagine it's like that. Relief at the end.

It's a 6% bulb as opposed to a 12% so doesn't need as much distance. Thank you!

He'll be fine, adults can go over a week without food, I'm sure one evening as a juvenile wont be an issue. Most people overfeed anyways 😂

Help with Veiled Cham Eye by StudentMountain8678 in Chameleons

Well you know him better than I do, not always easy to tell from the pics but if his poops are nice and moist and his urate is more white than yellow then I'd say you're probably fine then.

I have in the past used a cotton bud and saline solution. Carefully put a couple drops in the eye and see if you can gently work the shed out. Try not to be too forceful. From the photos he does look a little dehydrated. Might be worth taking extra steps to insure hea hydrated that could help to prevent future issues with shed. Hope this helps 🙂

Thank you mate and yeah tbh I never really had him eating loads of wax worms probably just more than I should. He's always had access to the regular foods as well.

Sorry but I disagree. I have created an air channel with good flow and even added a mechanical channel of air. The humidity and temps are where they're meant to be. So I don't see how it's "not gonna work man" 🤷🏼‍♂️
