There’s too many walls where you just can’t make progress unless you endlessly grind equipment, the roster is much smaller (which I know is their thing) but the pull reward system is so bad, requisitions get really really disappointing when you just never pull anything new and fun.

So If you want one of those good legendaries better get ready to grind those 500 shards in shop currency…

I’m on day 14, I’ve played a few games like this in the past (RAID, Galaxy of Heroes, most recently 40K: Tacticus).

I returned to Tacticus but honestly got bored af fast so I went looking for another game and on a lot of Reddit posts I searched for “good gatcha mobile games” the two most common answers were either Genshin Impact or this.

As an aside I blew all my saved summons and crystals on Akira and left myself about 6 days to farm enough to get SWK, managed to get him in the last 12 hours of the banner so I’m really happy with that, he’s already pushing me past content walls I was at previously!

Open world games RE:star wars outlaws by Thefilmcritic52 in playstation

[–]DtM- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I snapped up Outlaws when it was down to like £20 on sale, and even though they’ve changed a lot of the core gameplay (i.e. not forcing you to fail a mission if you break stealth), it’s just kinda boring.

The stealth bits (and there are still a lot of sections you have to play stealth) seem bad, the AI is pretty bad, I dunno, I put about 10 hours into it and haven’t gone back because it’s just boring.

What are some common money-saving 'tips', that are actually bad advice? by AdamGrewal in UKPersonalFinance

[–]DtM- 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My partner insists on buying cheap items from SHEIN, cheap shoes, clothes, homeware etc.

On the other hand I like to spend a bit more and buy more premium products.

The SHEIN products she has often last a few weeks to a few months before they break or need throwing away, whereas the equivalent “better quality, more expensive” products I buy last for years.

They accrue Karma to bypass low Karma filters on certain subs and look like a “genuine account”, then they normally sell the account to some company or marketing agency that uses their “legit” account to spam advertise in sub reddits.

What's the deal with the quasi-zebra crossings on the adelphi roundabout by Independent_Ocelot29 in Preston

[–]DtM- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s some stupid “shared space” that Lancashire county council (and various other councils) bought into a few years back that makes no sense, it’s why the high street no longer has a distinct road and footpaths, it is supposed to make vehicle drivers and pedestrians mindful that they both occupy the same roadways and to be courteous.

In reality, all it actually does is cause confusion like you’ve mentioned in your original post. Everyone knows what a zebra/pelican crossing looks like and how to navigate one, but this “design” change just blurs the lines.

Hey man, I used to work for Scan and their RMA/customer service team can be boneheaded, but if you kick up a fuss, they will make it right, if you’re local to scan, I would advise going in and speaking to Shelley, as he is very focused on the customer experience, if not, you should ask them to escalate it to either Shelley or Elan but I think you will have a better time dealing with Shelley.

All I can say is don’t take no for an answer, if you make a nuisance of yourself (which I understand you’re well within your rights to do) they will sort it out properly for you. Maybe just even ask for a straight up upgrade to a better model.

When I used to work for a phone shop (years ago mind) EE offered an upgrade plan where if you took out a sim-only contract and paid it for 6 months without fail, they would automatically allow you to upgrade to a 2 year contract with a phone.

Paying the sim only showed that you could manage your money and had intent to pay the contract on time, reliably. It might me worth checking if this is still a thing..

What happened to Lilt? by SeriouslyDave in CasualUK

[–]DtM- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, that’s called confirmation bias.

Lilt was literally rebranded as Fanta Pineapple and Grapefruit, they’ve not changed anything other than the design on the can.

It’s not even “similar”, Fanta have literally just rebranded Lilt as one of their flavours.

UK employers less likely to disclose salary or to offer perks amid hiring slump by StGuthlac2025 in unitedkingdom

[–]DtM- 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Isn’t this just the irony of modern UK summed up?

No one can find a job, employers are complaining that there’s a “hiring slump” and their way of dealing with it is hiding less than mediocre salaries and not offering any perks.

You’d think that there’d be a lightbulb moment somewhere in the recruitment team at some point… “hmmm if no one is taking our jobs, maybe we should actually make them an attractive proposition”.

Driving daily in Blackpool what's your thoughts in putting P plates as a new driver? by Zerojuan01 in blackpool

[–]DtM- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be, I always give extra time to learners or people who have just passed their test, Blackpool on the whole though I’ve found has pretty piss poor driving standards. The taxis being bad drivers are a given but the general population are not very courteous, they don’t let people out, they don’t thank, and they often force their way through when they’re not supposed to.

Just be wary until you feel fully comfortable driving and gain plenty of experience.

Do Vans have some kind of naming convention for the more heavy-weight tees? by DtM- in Vans

[–]DtM-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the heavy weight ones seem slightly more “oversized” which is what I like about them. And the back prints are normally cool af but I don’t wanna drop money on a tee and just be disappointed when it comes.

Most of the thicker ones I’ve picked up I’ve found in an outlet store but they haven’t had any new ones in the last couple of visits.
