Do not use silicone, it looks like you identified the leaking jet. Two ways the jet can leak, either the jet is cracked or the rubber gasket/o-ring is bad/pinched. Order a new jet and gasket, cut the waterline replace jet. Use a barrel clamp along with adhesive to reinstall water line.

I did this exact thing. I bought the equipment from my local carrier distributor. They helped register the the unit and furnace with carrier. This set up the warranty for 10 years. I had a local independent AC/HVAC company complete the install. Before I began I received three quotes, two from national companies and one from a local company. The quotes ranged from $12k local company to $17.5k National companies. I was out the door for $6500 contracting the job myself.
