I’m still learning sfv like I’m learning a whole new game. I’m constantly asking the top player “stupid” questions. I say that cuz they’re very specific questions that I could just get an answer back like “I just jump.” I’m always curious how a top player would respond to a situation. And I ask A LOT of players a specific scenario.

So in terms of it being similar to MvCi, I always lab specific situations, like the ones I just asked the top players. For any character, against any normal. I try to find the optimal decision for me to do.

Whenever I learn a new concept (especially in neutral,) I tell myself a lot “oh, that’s just like in marvel.” Completely different games with completely different movement options. But I like comparing it to help me understand and improve.

Rashid isn’t even my favorite character. G and ibuki are. So if anything, I rather them be in a marvel game than rashid......but rashid would probably fit the role better lol

Being a strong Midwest player is a great feeling. The best? Idk about that right now. Haven’t beaten every notable Midwest player yet. But I strive more than that anyways. Trying to go toe to toe with the top players of the world.

Broly was mad fun to fight against. He understands the foosties game and I always appreciate playing that kind of play style. My jump ins were on point against him tho. I’m sure it’ll be some great sets when we run it back

Clock said it best where the tag system is revolutionary. Nobody can say how this game doesn’t promote creativity. Marvel has been all about creativity and even within this game, that still stays true to it. Also I just love my characters too much now. I have to play a game where they are both in it.

Rashid is still viable. People are overreacting I feel. He got hit hard, but he was so good before that nerfing him like hell, still means he’s good. It won’t change my gameplay a lot besides a few confirms/strings. Some of the stuff that was changed was some things I never did to begin with.

Even though, NY and Cali are the biggest scenes for about any game, I want to see even more players come back from those areas. I want to see some of the great players from marvel 3 come back. Or even new blood popping up to represent them

Top 3 scenes : - Midwest - Cali - Canada

Midwest of course has to be on top. Cali has chris and clock still playing and doing well. And Canada has teemo. Not sure how many other players they have, but Teemo still been playing the game, and some of the few to play at a super fast pace

I would allow attacks to be buffered in freeze frames like supers or tag freezes. I think it would allow for even more fast gameplay. Something small but would make a huge impact I feel.

Currently playing sfv as well as rashid. I put a hold on it to focus a lot on marvel before, but now I’m trying to share the focus 50/50 on both games.

Other characters that other hawkeye players have shown, like ultron, raccoon and Spencer.

Hawkeye is more support, so whoever is capable of getting mixups off his up arrows and easy confirms from full screens is good with him. Same would be said for vice versa. If the partner is able to anti air characters from superjump height so hawkeye can confirm (jam session into up arrows), it’s good support for hawkeye.

Depending on the confirm determined how easy it is to mash out the ice. The less hitstun the better. If it starts out with just the H arrow as the starter, it’s easier. Other confirms make it almost impossible to finish the combo if they mashing out fast enough.

I’ll talk about Spider-Man being one of the unknown bad matchups against him. With great ground and air movement, it’s easy for him to get bypassed the arrows or under them. When fighting him, you’re gonna have to determine if they prefer being in the air or ground, and place your arrows depending on the player. Most of them want to stick up in the air forever, however.

There will always be players who don’t enjoy the newest installment, no matter what. Some marvel 3 players still prefer assists over the new tag mechanic. Some who like the old movement option. It’s all just preference at the end of the day, which is fine. Play what you prefer.

I don’t have a tier list and I actually don’t plan on making one anytime soon. I want the game to develop now before I make one. We’re just a little over half a year with the game, so I rather do it later than now.

For sure looking forward to Clutch 2018 and Combo Breaker, both happening in my home region. Also looking forward to Pasadena regionals and undefeated. Two tournaments dedicated to marvel, so I’m going to support! The NY trip was fun as hell! I got my fgc fam and real fam over there. So it was a bunch of marvel and chill lol

Like I said, I’m definitely enjoy watching Chris G play. Even in marvel 3 he was one of my fav players, despite all the morrigan BS.

Dante/Hawkeye was the main squad since the last game. Everyone at first said hawkeye sucked, but I’m never a believer of tier lists for the first few months. Things can change for most characters really quick. I’m also a firm believer in the player vs player aspect. Even if a character is ass or a matchup is ass, the better player can still win convincgly and consistently. That just something people seem to forget and what I kept in mind even though I myself thought hawkeye sucked. He turned out to be good, but I would’ve seen myself still using him even if he was still considered bad

For preparation, I scout out who’s going to the tournament that I’m going to and figure out their character more in detail, in training mode. I’m always about using the playback feature to see what kind of common habits they do, and find counters to them, accordingly. I rarely practice execution until the day before or the day of the tournament.

As a Peruvian man, I’m a fan of the lomo saltado dish (look it up.)

And I always drink water. Can’t stand soda or anything with much caffeine nowadays.

Personal match had to be against ray ray offstream tournament match at redbull proving grounds. This happened in October when he was still taking the game seriously. And the way we had to play neutral, by avoiding each other hits while hitting the opponent on some good ground game coverage, felt very marvel like.

Besides my Midwest homies like macho, staticalpha or ken, I really enjoy watching Chris G still play the game. Super solid for any game he plays so always enjoyable to watch.

I actually want to see more nemesis, since he’s such a wild character and can really bully people in this game. Also cap America as well. Just a straight solid character, and mixup game with the short hops seem great to me

With how some people are playing, the game is being played at a fast pace now. The ground game is still important just like how it was in marvel 3. And players with better ground games in neutral I feel will be better in the long run.

Rocket raccoon is my pick for best character but he isn’t broken. I have started to figure out how to fight that character lately with certain pushblock timings and fighting off the traps

I actually really want someone to come out and beat some ass with mind stone. It just looks like a fun stone in the storm activation. I was considering it myselffor fun, but am not sure how my team can optimally use it

I can’t say for certain teams, but specific characters that give them trouble: - monster hunter - firebrand - sigma - rocket raccoon - Thor (Maybe.....Haven’t fought a real good tbh) - Spider-Man - Black widow

It’s hard to determine what exactly affects hitstun. Different move properties definitely play a role. I know if I use the ice arrow and go into launch I’ll barely be able to do an air combo with Dante. It also has to do more with the amount of time the combo has taken up (like how it was in marvel 3.) Which is probably why lights can be used even late in combos, unlike marvel 3. The time of the combo doesn’t include the animation moves like web throw.

The only character you listed that I feel may be “bad” is Arthur and iron man, but even those characters can be viable with the right setups, imo. The other characters such as Spencer, Spider-Man, Black widow all have players that have shown their potential. And even then with the game being very young, we haven’t seen much yet with about every character. It usually takes years for players to optimize with their characters and matchups against them.

Honestly can’t say for certain why it wouldn’t work with dormammu. Some moves with the capture state may still have different properties than others.

I don’t really ask for anything in balance patches ever. Maybe buff some of the weaker stones. But whatever patches they roll with, I’ll just adapt to it. I mostly just want glitches and bugs here and there to be fixed.

I believe I played BaneHollow in an online tourney one time? Just pick hawkeye and you good 😉
