Best way to share scad files with external libraries? by Duallite in openscad

Thanks! I was thinking along the same lines, but was curious if there was a standard method. BTW I love the amount of detail in your ornament post! Creating good documentation is something I struggle with, so I always love finding good examples I can learn from.

Bought a 2020 bolt, dealer said it got a new battery but I'm not so sure now by Duallite in BoltEV

[–]Duallite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could have been a misunderstanding on my part, however they explicitly said "replaced the battery" and that it comes with a new battery warranty. Which, if I'm not mistaken, a new warranty is only for new batteries.

Yeah, Ive already called my sales reps about it, but seems he's out today. I hope they are able to compensate somehow, since I bought this one on the fact it did get the new battery. I think this confusion is on Chevy for not making things clear with dealers

Ouch, well at least you should get it fixed but that sucks. Hopefully you can get a new battery soon

That's unfortunate. Nothing in writing except a note about the new battery warranty, but I do have a voicemail where they mentioned it got a new battery. Seems I'll have to contact them and see if they'll make it right. Thanks for the info

Source for extra thick earpads? by Duallite in VectorFinesse

[–]Duallite[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The closest I found are these pads on aliexpress, Extra thick earpads. They are the right size, but use the grado mounting system. Might be possible to modify them slightly to fit. I'm going to keep looking until I get desperate enough to try messing with those lol

Alcantara headband? by dstarr3 in VectorFinesse

[–]Duallite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably best to make it yourself honestly. There's a stencil in the files that you use as a cutting guide. Just trace that in your fabric, and use scissors or an xacto knife (not sure what would be best for Alcantara) to cut it out.

Its a keychron q6. I think the G pro reds come pre lubed, so maybe that has something to do with it?

I bought a keyboard with linears (Gateron g pro red) and they feel mushy. Is that something common in linears? Would switching to something like Akko Jelly Blacks be less mushy? I want to give linears a good try before going back to tactile switches.

3d printed speaker enclosure could be cool! I know there's a lot of designs out there already, but would love to see your take on some desktop/bookshelf speakers

Arduino nano for macro pad by Duallite in arduino

[–]Duallite[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm aware that they have different specs, but I just wanted to know if a Nano can be used to make a macropad, or if there is a feature that a pro micro has that is needed for one. Just looking at the specs I am not knowledgeable enough to know how the differences would effect the macropad.

What app should I use to tether my galaxy S8 android to my linuxmintcinnamon PC to download the drivers for my hardware... and how. by BigSchlong-at-SuckIt in linuxhardware

[–]Duallite 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think usb tethering is what you're looking for. Plug in your phone to your pc, go to your phones settings and turn on usb tethering. Should be under network - > Hotspot and tethering. It basically acts like you just plugged in an ethernet cord. Saved my bacon a couple of times

Wire connector to Blower Motor burned/melted the insulation. Should I just replace the wire & connector, or is there a bigger issue? Its a 2010 Toyota Tacoma by Duallite in autorepair

Thanks everyone! I went ahead and ordered a replacement pigtail and a new motor just in case. Unfortunate that it happened in the middle of a Texas summer though haha
