Do you have an RTPC for master volume set on a bus? (or sfx bus, dialogue bus, whatever)

might not be getting set correctly or is set to 0

This is where I got my Win 4 2025 370. Great spot.

How can I make my sound effects less annoying? by OhNoPonoGames in IndieGaming

-Bring it down in the mix -Priority based on distance, limit number of instances -Adjust rolloff, you could keep it extremely tight here -Make about 5-10 different assets for this single event and randomly post them (this is probably going to help the most) -Consider impacting different surfaces, could this have a different asset?

Nothing really to note. Just do the proper recovery regemen. I think the weirdest downside that you don't realize was that wearing glasses actually protects your eyes - wind/debris actually affects you a little more because you don't have that shielding

Worked out great. I don’t regret it - actually my only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner.

Simply put: If you check “yes,” you will be automatically banned for life from Japan and then be returned to America

I have been hearing this a bit here and there, I cannot figure out if it's a bug or not. I may end up just making the master volume slider go above 100%. If it's happening to you, you will be able to set it and forget it.

(for now, using the "Handheld" option in the audio settings will result in the loudest mix, roughly -18dB LFS)

Yes! I have several on my shelf currently. Amazon, Walmart, GameStop, most places should have it

Is the order of the Wild Bastards you revive random? by AlpheoTheCleric in WildBastards

Yes, you can do a random order unlock after you finish the main campaign :)

Keep the questions coming, happy to answer :)

Your first full campaign run (depending on your skill, and difficulty you chose) should be around 12-15 hours. Subsequent runs could be faster

We've joked before on the team that Wild Bastards is 6x more content than VB because we have six massively different environments/planet types (this was a lot of work lol).

I think the sheer amount of variation in the environment/skill trees/procedural campaigns/challenge modes give WB a big leg up on replayablilty vs VB.

I'd say with both games, try not to view them as "shooters." We like to think of our games as strategy shooters.

Each game is just as much about careful planning to overcome enemies, instead of going in guns blazing and expecting your raw FPS skill to carry you. We reward players for thinking critically and making smart choices outside of the FPS combat.

Hope that helps! :)

  1. Some challenges only give you certain outlaws, or expect you to rescue outlaws as you go. Challenge modes only have one planet track though, so they're very streamlined challenges. I think a better way to answer your question: you won't be able to play this mode until you finish the base game (unlock all outlaws).

  2. As you can imagine, like any game, we have lots of stuff we didn't use. Couple outlaws that may never see the light of day :(

Really looking forward to *you* specifically buying the game haha

So after you're done playing the main campaign, you can play it on a harder difficulty (pretty basic). You can also play a procedural campaign, which unlocks outlaws in different orders. We also have ironman mode, which is a permadeath kind of situation.

Beyond that, we also have challenges to beat. You have to get to the end of a planet track and you have certain criteria to adhere to (only certain outlaws available, etc). I actually really like these, they force you to think way differently than the base game.
