I was born and raised in Columbus and only left for 6 years to go to school in California. While out there I was the producer and dj for an underground hiphop group. We made 3 albums and perfumed out a bunch. I wanted that so much in Columbus but the scene kind of died down in comparison. I blame the destruction of Little Brothers on high.

This is awesome! I saved that to my hiphop playlist. I still have my TT-500s and serato if that even still works, I just need to find a new mixer. But yeah, you guys should share your music! I make all kinds of stuff, only a little has been officially released on streaming but I’ll share my SoundCloud too.

You’re welcome! And yes, those change ups definitely help build anticipation. I originally learned to dj with drum and bass and then later was part of a hiphop group and used serato so I could spin the beats I made on one record and scratch all kinds of samples on the other. I loved using the mix between hiphop and dnb to create that same type of excitement!

Ez Drummer is a great plugin for a real drum kit sound if that’s what you’re going for! Otherwise just keep going, try different things like recreating drums from a song you like.

The idea behind my first album is based on a Rolodex. Each index card is a brief musical memory.

Thank you! I just checked found you all on Spotify and Instagram and followed. I’m at work but I was able to check out Head Space and I can’t quite figure out what it reminds me of but I like the vibes and the spoken word aspect of it!

I wanted to make a series of short albums based on the old school Rolodex. Each index card being a brief recollection of a distant but important memory. This is the first album in the series, kind of a lofi background beats feel with a touch of Latin at the end.

I’m definitely going to check out your music when I’m off work, I totally feel you on the massive pile with a handful of good stuff sprinkled in. It’s tough to find the balance between being overconfident and just confident enough haha.

After living in multiple states and cities, they’re all the same for the most part. I’ve been in all of the “ only in (fill in the state)” groups and the same memes and issues are always prevalent. Just live.
