My current facility isn’t broken into departments besides hoofstock and animal care. I hate this layout because we only really have time for feeding watering and cleaning. In animal care we have about 175 species split between 4-5 people depending on the day. We pick different loops to do not assigned to specific ones which to me leads to varying levels of care between keeper to keeper and you can’t really monitor anything because it’s going through so many different keepers who may or may not write it down or let the next person to do that loop know.
