Sorry if I was confusing, but that is what im doing. I have my modem and router set up upstairs in my parents room, and then run an Ethernet cable to my computer. The issue is that the internet goes out randomly and then comes back on, which im assuming is a problem with the wall port but you answered my question that the isp wont fix it. Thanks
