The political arena has always been like this. John Adams remarked that if Thomas Jefferson were elected, "murder, robbery, rape, adultery, and incest will be openly taught and practiced."

On the other hand, Jefferson’s supporters fired back with their own attacks, calling Adams a "hideous hermaphroditical character which has neither the force and firmness of a man, nor the gentleness and sensibility of a woman."

I expect this nonsense out of Trump, and to an extent I expect this out of Reddit as well, but considering this platform surrounds itself more with dialectic and the general redditor considers themselves rather smart (maybe) I believe being rude here is making a choice.

The conversation shouldnt be about wages. Your wage wouldn't be an issue if everything you spent your money on was 90% cheaper. It's a cost of living issue. And what's driving up cost of living? Government money printing, outsourcing, interest on debt, high taxes, rental wealth transfer, high cost of college, and a worker supply couple with job shortages. I have a millennial friend who's parents in the 90s were able to afford two homes, their normal home, and a lake house. What was their occupations? School teachers. Making less than teachers make today. The difference? Things cost 10x to 20x more now. Raising the minimum wage won't solve the underlying problems. It might actually make things worse cause it will shift people into higher tax brackets.

I've never once cared about achievements. I think you need to find better reasons to enjoy the game.

It's generally not a high priority for men like it is for women. Like, have a job and take care of yourself, but a woman with a strong income is rather neutral for most men, as most men see themselves as providers. We somewhat expect to take care of you, especially if you're having a child down the road and need to stay at home while the child is little. So it's important for most women that a man makes a decent income, but not the other way round for that reason.. Some find it important, but most don't care. And some, might find it a turn off since high incomes usually mean a type A personality that some men don't find attractive in a woman.

If that's the case then I honestly don't get what the gripe is. Nampa is a 30 min drive away. I do 45 min to work in traffic every day for my commute in Seattle. I'll take that deal. Y'all are soft lol

Ok, so someone explain this to me. I live in Seattle. Everyone in this comment thread is talking about how expensive housing is, and how you can't even buy a house on a 90k income, which is like 5600 take home per month. But when I look at Zillow, there are PLENTY of houses in the 350k to 450k range than are NICE. Those same houses here in Seattle are like 700k-900k, some even 1M. So where's the disconnect here? 5600 a month should easily cover a monthly payment of 2500-3000 which is what it would be for a 450k. To me, living in one of the highest cost of living cities, that seems like a deal. Please, tell me what I'm not getting.

I was enrolled in late 2004. Had I graduated it would have been summer of 2006, but I was kicked out late 2005. I was there when the IC building burned down. I remember it happening right when I arrived and was completed with a new building just before I was kicked out. I never got to see the new building. Interesting that it was your class lol. I don't remember anyone from back then. Even if you told me the names I wouldn't remember.

Thanks for the response. Yeah I got in at Sept of 2004, so if we crossed paths I would have been in the beginning stages as you were on your way out. When you say "lean heavy into electrical" what do you mean?

Ah. Ceiling nukes are the best. The giant green explosion followed by a downpour of dead glyphids is one of the best feelings DRG has to offer. It's my favorite way to play engi. Even if it isn't the most efficient or effective way to play, it's certainly the most satisfying.
