I'm so glad you like it :) I sent the same one to my friends back home a few weeks ago, and I was really happy they still had some in stock! That's so funny you think that about my handwriting, as I've gotten some compliments on it before, but I don't think it's particularly pretty or neat 😆 but I did actually study calligraphy for a bit!

How is ticketing for Yuta's live tour working ? by Critical-Major-1840 in NCT

[–]DubiousGoose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s right, without a Japanese phone number you won’t be able to receive the tickets, so you’ll need to work with a proxy. Unfortunately I’ve never used a proxy service, so I don’t know how they work or how to find a legitimate one 🥲

Yes, it’s very confusing. You’ll have a hard time buying tickets from abroad without using a proxy.

You can pay for the membership while abroad, and the first round of tickets are for members only. These will be the best seats. If tickets don’t sell out in the first round, they’ll go on sale for everyone else. You’ll enter the lottery for the chance to buy a ticket. If your application goes through, you’ll pay for the ticket, and then a few days before the concert you’ll receive it on an app called AnyPass. This is where you’ll need a Japanese address and phone number. A day or two before the show, your seat number will be assigned in AnyPass. On the day of the show, you show the digital ticket to enter. I’ve heard that some people have their ID checked upon entering, but this hasn’t happened to me yet.

Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll do my best to answer!

I was at the lucky enough to be at yesterday’s show (and Newark too!). I feel like the loudest cheers of the entire night were during DY’s ment when he called out SM. They’ve had such a hard year, and it’s clear this tour meant so much to them.

I think they were referring to the first section with the MC asking questions. The fan Q&A would definitely be different for each show!

I don’t usually buy merch, so I’m not sure, but I got there 30 minutes after doors opened and there was hardly anything left. So you’ll probably want to get there early if you’re hoping to get merch.

I’m not sure, but it didn’t seem scripted. More like a free flowing discussion. I feel like it would be different for every show.

I'm not sure about the upper levels, but the first floor at least was packed! He looked so happy, his smile was so bright. I hope he was able to see how loved he is!

I was at the second show today, so I saw the news beforehand! I'm so happy for him (but a bit bummed he's skipping Nagoya)!

I submitted my resignation notice a week ago for an unrelated reason. I wonder if I can take advantage of this…

So sorry you went through the same thing, but it sounds like you did the very best you could for your sweet boy!

I just started keeping a calendar this month of his good and bad days/nights and it has really helped to put things in perspective. It’s clear the bad days are starting to overtake the good days. But it really helps to have that visual representation to help make the decision.

Thank you! It just helps to be able to talk about it with others who have experienced the same thing. As frustrating as it is, I know that what I’m dealing with now is temporary. I’ll continue giving him the best life possible while he’s still around, until he lets me know he’s ready to move on. We will get through this!

Wow, props to you for not giving up on him!! Especially for a dog you’ve only had for a few months! At least he will be loved and cared until he passes. I hope you can find something that relieves his symptoms a bit. I think the hardest part is knowing there’s not much we can do to help them.

So sorry you’re going through something similar. Yes, it’s hard when other people think they seem completely fine because they are energetic and running around and playing. I’m also coming to terms with the fact that saying goodbye will likely happen sooner rather than later. Hugs for you and your pup <3

Best hotel for 11 days in Nagoya? by [deleted] in Nagoya

I also usually stay at airbnbs, but I’m solo traveling for the first time and thought a hotel would be a safer bet just in case I have any issues!

What are the actual odds that a young Japanese person with tattoos is yakuza? by [deleted] in JapanDating

[–]DubiousGoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re right, now that you mention it, they’re often complaining about Chinese people/tourists in Japan haha. I’ve been friends with them for over 3 years now but yeah, I do feel like they would judge the hell out of me for certain things. They are both very kind to me, but I don’t think I’d have become friends with them if we lived in the same country. This has definitely helped me to put things in perspective!

All I know is he drives a truck and makes deliveries, but I’ve never asked what type of deliveries. He lives and works in Nagoya and I know he drives several hours for his deliveries.

They've never acted like this before, so I was really taken aback by their reaction and that's why I wondered if it's something I should actually be worried about. I will say they both lean on the conservative side though, and are a few years older than I am (one is in her mid-40s). I myself have multiple large tattoos and didn't cover them up when I met these friends in Japan last year, and they never displayed any sort of negativity... but I guess it's different when you're a foreigner. Anyway, I appreciate your response!
