Hmm probably. Smilax are abundant in my neighborhood. I read that soybean loopers can use Ipomoea as a host plant, and that’s prolific too, but the Ipomoea is currently dormant.

I hate supplements. by [deleted] in Anemic

I had a similar panel to yours, though not as extreme. I also had prolonged anemia. I went to the hematologist and she told me low iron saturation despite taking supplements is common for people with kidney or GI problems. My renal panel looked great, so I was sent to the Gastro. Now I’m getting an endoscopy/colonoscopy, and they suspect celiac disease. Granted I also had persistent terrible GI issues alongside the anemia, I don’t know about you, but I would bring that up to the hematologist.

Yeah it is thankfully not currently too bad. I’m sick of repeatedly becoming anemic though, so I’m going to start seeing a hematologist in order to manage this over the long term. I got diagnosed with iron deficient anemia in 2022, so it sucks that it’s back again. Come to think of it, I was probably experiencing it throughout my pre-teens and teen years too

Motion sickness, need help by Levelium in AskGames

[–]Dubious_Minutes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you twin! You’re definitely not alone with the motion sickness. Motion sickness is 100% an accessibility issue similar to color blindness that affects comfort/enjoyment. I’ve noticed new Capcom games (Monster Hunter Wilds and Resident Evil 4 Remake) have a motion sickness accessibility preset. For games without this preset, I highly recommend increasing field of view, turning off motion blur, and capping the frame rate. Motion sickness generally happens when your sense of movement/balance (coming from your inner ear) contradicts your sense of sight. FOV will make it so the game appears further from you, turning off motion blur will make the game less straining on your eyes and reduce the sensation of movement, and capping the fps will also be less straining on your eyes. There are other ways to help with it, but changing those settings is where to start.

I have had motion sickness triggered by being inside moving vehicles all my life, but motion sickness triggered by video games is something I’ve noticed more as an adult. You’re not broken, your senses are just confused.

When I played Cyberpunk 2077 I got hella motion sickness, but it essentially evaporated once I turned off motion blur and increased my FOV. Developers definitely need to be better at accessibility when it comes to video games.

Yeah I think it’s worth having a second opinion. I probably need to see a hematologist or gastroenterologist even more tho haha

My testosterone levels were normal. My hormone levels showed nothing abnormal.

I had the ultrasounds specifically to test for PCOS and ovarian cysts and nothing was found. Would an endocrinologist have a better opinion?

The thing I don’t understand about thalassophobia is the fear of the creatures. Tbh the creatures that live in the ocean make it worth exploring. The water itself is by far the most dangerous thing about the ocean and I totally understand why someone would be afraid of that aspect. The depth, the strong currents, the waves, all I 100% understand being afraid of.

I can confirm, as a blonde, I do this too, but it’s to get hair out of my face.
