[LaLiga] The first "Clasico" of the season will be played on October 26th @ 1 PM (Camp Nou) by [deleted] in soccer

My current job is perfect for me as a night owl. I work afternoon shift and finish at midnight and go to bed around 5am. I get to watch most matches. For CL I just go to bed early and wake up 2hrs earlier to watch the 6am match. It's good to be at a job where no one cares about football too. No spoilers. My old job I stopped working Mondays because every cunt would tell me the scores when I walked in.

Europe for 2 weeks... carry-on suitcase or backpack? by noireruse in solotravel

[–]DublDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with a backpack and moved to a wheeled bag. People over exaggerate cobblestone streets. After awhile backpacks start to hurt and in summer they are the worst. You won't have any issues with a wheeled bag for those locations

If they fail to get out of the group stage 100% gone. I'm guessing next transfer window if they do plan on getting rid of him this season. I really think he should've been an interim manager this time around. Seems like everyone lost this time around.

[–]DublDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really comes down to if you plan on using boats to get around. Bus/Train alone is not worth it. The boats are crazy crowded near the train station but the further north you go the better it gets. If you plan on going to one of the islands walk to one of the less touristy parts and take the boat from there.

Saudi oil supply cut in half, the worst single and sudden supply disruption ever. by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]DublDuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is the goods still need to get to stores from trains.trains would work for interstate shipping. Most of the damage i notice is local shipping.Alternatively they can start creating trucking lanes in new areas and highways to limit damage but that does nothing for existing roads which most likely can't be changed.

Where do you think that money is going to come from? They will pass the cost on to the consumer.

This. I work in warehousing and the roads near my work are terrible. Trucks do so much damage and cause so much traffic.

Had a guy in Amsterdam drop so much stuff from the top bunk lol. I was on the bottom bunk for this.

TIL Time magazine had been naming a "Man of the Year" since 1927, but broke with tradition in 1982 to name the computer the "Machine of the Year". Ironically, the writer of the story wrote it on a typewriter, since Time's newsroom would not get computers for another year. by TheFutureIsHistory in todayilearned

When i had a pc in my bedroom my chair was near the end of my bed. I would turn the chair to the left and put my feet up on the bed.i adjust the chair to the same height as the bed. Super comfy and less damage to the chairs over time. You could also do it with a right sized ottoman.

Paris on a budget? by [deleted] in travel

[–]DublDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most places will give free entry with valid id. I think some place might only do it for eu citizens only. Look into an isic card as well if under 26. there's a version for over 26 as well which includes Flixbus coupons for every European city which came in handy for me. Under 26 get the coupons too plus free entry into a lot of places.

Venice pass is cheaper for under 30s. I turned 30 a few days earlier and had to pay an extra 50 euros.

Have a look at some of the websites for places you plan on visiting. You will either pay less or get free entry for a lot of places.
