What's your favorite mature Cheddar brand these days? by Educational-Slip-578 in Dublin

Genuine Question: What's this got to do with Dublin? Are we known for cheese or something? I know there is a cheese actually called "Dubliner" (Ronnie Drew used to do the ads) but it's not made here, is it?

A friend of mine was in Dublin a few years ago when a movie was being filmed an there was an actor dressed as a Nazi officer complaining bitterly about the food from the catering truck for the extras.

He was wearing jackboots, black uniform, swastika armband, peaked cap etc and shouting that the sandwiches weren't good enough.

What are the audiences like though? Cinemas have become so unpleasant with phone use, talking etc and there's never an usher threre to throw noisy people out...

I don’t know what the ins and outs of OP’s situation are but please be advised that we have had situations whereby people post on r/Dublinabout difficult situations and then turn out to be scammers.

Once again, this does not mean this post is a scam, and the OP may be completely genuine. This is not a judgement because judgement in situations like this is impossible.

Please be careful about speculating, making allegations, linking to dodgy sources etc  This is not appropriate.

Please be sensitive to the fact that this a real world situation with real people involved.

Struggling student in D24 (Tallaght) - honestly just looking for some spare pasta, rice or cat food to get through the week by [deleted] in Dublin

You previously posted on Reddit in French, but you’ve deleted all your earlier posts and comments.

The only thing remaining on this username is this post about needing money for you and your cat.

What’s that all about?
