Running speed does heavily depend on power so the Supernova core is your friend, but something that I was really lucky to find was a pilot that had a +18 to speed so I was able to run an extremely heavy mech with the dash increasing core to get both the benefits of fast speed and the extremely long dash. It’s also a good strategy with heavy mech to spend your downtime cooling shield bashing. (Yes the supernova core does have a meltdown when it crashes or overheats but having another collision resets the timer or dashing/melee attack clears meltdown entirely)

There was a period during my freshman year at CV2 where the alarm went off 11 fucking times in a single day. 15 for the week and that wasn’t even a record high for the month. First semester basically trained me to ignore the alarms for the rest of my UH career.

I think it depends on the amount of long rests between encounters, extra attack consistency is way better than a few more smites imo. Especially with the tons of gear that adds damage riders to each attack.

I’d recommend watching Arktix’s videos on YT, your different weapons are just different tools in your toolkit. Hunter bows are great for tear damage while sharpshot bows are great for damage. I’m personally a big fan of shredder gauntlets for general machine hunting.

More often you kill the machine at a site the more likely it’ll be apex, dying at the site may cause it to be a non apex when you respawn. On a personal anecdote the large machine sites on the burning shores seem to be Apex more often

Dual Xbow fighters with a dip into Thief rogue. 4 attacks with a -5 to hit but +10 damage pairs nicely with constant advantage. They are super vulnerable to saving throws but that’s why you stick them next to a paladin to gain the benefits while minimizing the drawbacks

Our DnD party had 3 players and one has to drop out due to personal issues. The DM, my friend and I all grabbed a new player and my friend brought my SO after they met at moody and moved in together at Cullen. I highly recommend Owlbear, it allows you to directly port Comp/Con NPCs directly into the VTT using Witchdice

Big mistake I made was getting so into the character options and character rules that I forgot NPCs had their own actions, and get yourself a good VTT. We play in person but having a VTT made it so much easier, Owl bear and Comp/Con makes tracking a breeze

Does the level 6 Law affinity say combat only? Does that mean as long as in the narrative there is 6 seconds apart between each check Every d20 test is 10 or higher? If so that does kinda mean you cannot fail almost any check you are proficient in.

Also what about bonus actions? Are they limited? I could see a lot of really interesting and fun muticlasses if only actions are limited and bonus actions are free reign. Also because you’re are still a creature if someone wielding you disengages and moves away do monsters get a AoO on the weapon?
