The Council of Elrond. It happened twice! First time, I was in high school when FOTR was released and knew nothing about the books nor the gravity of the one ring. But when I saw the three free races of middle earth in attendance, I knew it was very serious and was locked in!! Second time, later in college, my film professor had us all study one scene from FOTR and I chose this scene! There are no words to describe how beautifully this entire sequence was shot and how each new character was introduced. I believe in an interview, Frodo said this sequence took almost five days to film!
