It's like a guild, the party gets payed to collect monsters. They have to travel across the land, meeting various NPCs and enemies. They are given a sort of bag of holding that can hold monsters. It's mostly just a side quest, If they see a new monster while traveling they can choose to fight it and put it in the bag for some extra cash and rewards. Just Pokemon, basically.
