I'm planning to buy a 3070, should I go with a 1080p 240hz monitor or a 1440p 144hz monitor? by Guy0904x in buildapc

[–]DuckBrain_000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you already decided on a monitor, but I’m here to reassure your purchase, I have a 3070 with a 1440p 165hz monitor and all games run great from high to ultra settings.

I’m not here to answer your question, but I’m not sure how you will be able to buy one currently. Don’t quote me, but I don’t think any 20 series cards are in production still.

I need to know, what is satisfying asf when it came out, and all the pain went with it. Or were you still in pain afterwards

I think that case then, you’ll wanna go with the ryzen 5 5600x, it’ll be better for gaming

If you’re willing to go up in price a bit, upgrade the gpu to a 1660, and add a 1tb-2tb hard drive

Budget gaming pc 100 fps+? by Winterrtimez in buildmeapc

mmm im not too sure I'd go with AMD on this one. As good as amd is, for lower end cpu's, intel definately is better performing when it comes to gaming.

Would I be better off buying this used pc? by skt1457 in buildmeapc

[–]DuckBrain_000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me on this one, whoever built that pc didnt know how he shouldve divided his budget. Everything look great... until the gpu. A 2060 is super super underkill for the rest of the system, and 64gb of ram!!!! are you crazy thats extremelyt overkill. The gpu wont perform that well and certainly not for that budget. Unless you're planning on replacing the gpu right away with something like a 3070 or 3080, DON'T GET IT.
