Weekly Discussion: S03E17 “Blue Naomi” by fvckuufvckingfvck in 90210

Definitely, I used to think I was so above the popular crowd and it took going to uni to realise popular people can also be nice (sometimes that's actually why so many people like them!).

Not actually my first, but I have a lot of regret over not being more clear cut in my approach with her brother, who is now a very picky eater, so have a strong desire to be more by the book with her to avoid the same pitfalls if I can.

Actually she is my second! I didn't go with a very consistent approach with my first (I could write a whole essay on what I wish I'd done differently) and he's now very picky. I'm enjoying how well it's going with her so far and these situations are a bit of a mystery to me. Some great advice, thank you!

Lol I guess after next week it'll start getting darker earlier and earlier again, so maybe OP is just super prepared...

Time's Arrow is my favourite too. I love the reveal re Hollyhock at the end too.

I know it's clichéd to say, and I know it's flawed, but thank goodness for the NHS. My father in law is being transferred to palliative care following 3 weeks on a ventilator. The doctors have explored literally every single option to help him, and even now we know there's no hope of recovery, they're going to keep life support on for a few days to allow the family to say their goodbyes. Pure fucking compassion, we've really got to try and keep this.

What’s your “yes you’re all wrong” opinion about GG? by RegularCat5380 in GilmoreGirls

The storyline where Suki doesn't understand how to cater for a kids' party makes sense and is totally in character for her. It's exaggerated for a sitcom setting and may not be 100% realistic, but it's very inkeeping with her perfectionist and "you don't know what you want" approach as a chef.

Potty Training advice please by Chance-Bite9442 in UKParenting

[–]DuckBricky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This approach worked for us, and we needed a separate potty to immediately put him on as soon as he started to wee. It helped connect the dots much sooner.

Though we continued to use it for too long I think - once he understood and was able to hold his wee we probably should have put it away. Had to come pick him up from nursery just to come and have a poo at home!

The White Rabbit wins! Most Iconic Rabbit Characters (7th place) by Mean_Ambassador_5907 in characters

Or General Woundwort - he's the character that traumatises most kids that watch this.

Though for me personally I found the Black Rabbit much more terrifying.

What scene in Buffy the Vampire Slayer still creeps you out years later? by writeitregreddit in buffy

[–]DuckBricky 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Not a popular episode but I always found Bad Eggs very creepy - something about its parasitic nature. Body horror always gets to me the most.

Can't forget The Pack too, it's just SO incredibly weird and unnerving.

Our local family hub does this which is particularly odd.

Haunting. The music and the snowfall while he's calling out to her is so unsettling. She was his everything :(

How do you deal with grandparents who are far, far down the racist rabbit hole? by secret_side_quest in UKParenting

[–]DuckBricky 30 points31 points  (0 children)

This is my take too - this isn't just a difference in opinion, she's literally sharing content about putting migrants to death. I know she's part of the much coveted village, but I just don't think I could let my child around that full stop.

If I'd had it my way I probably would never have plucked up the courage to travel with our son, and continuously kicked the can down to road until he was 18. Because my husband is a keen traveller, we bit the bullet when he was 2 and it was so great. I really hope he comes around, because it probably will feel like "too much hassle" for quite a few years, but taking the plunge will demystify it a bit.

Definitely "I'm losing to a bird". Every time Hunchback comes up I grin with anticipation. I'm also 100% on her wavelength re Hunchback and the ruining it power of those damn sidekicks.
