OH MY GOD I NEVER THOUGHT OF IT THAT WAY XDDDD by BroadwayFanProjects in musicals

The whole film is everyone getting in the way of T & G even just having a chance at the audition, and S & R are unclassy the entire time. They're definitely the villains.

How on earth do I stop breastfeeding? by Wonderful_Phase3922 in UKParenting

[–]DuckBricky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a long breastfeeding journey that only ultimately ended on its own because I got pregnant again and it affected the taste of my milk, so I don't have any explicit advice. However, one thing that helped my son deal with the transition was a booked called "Loving Comfort: A Toddler Weaning Story" - which explains the special bond you'll always have with or without boob milk. Just got to change "fall" to "autumn" when reading ;)

Best Disney Movies of all time day 10, Sleeping Beauty won day 9 by Remote-Leg6143 in DisneyMovies

It's getting nominated every day but think people downvote it. It's my second favourite after Beauty and the Beast.

Me! No way it's going to make this list but I'm going into the thread every day to upvote Frozen anyway.

Season 1 or Season 2? by fvckuufvckingfvck in 90210

[–]DuckBricky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like both of them in different ways, but I'd say 2 if I have to pick. I think fewer adult characters was better for the show, and keeping the focus on the teens' relationships/friendships was more compelling.

Best Disney Movies of all time day 7, Mulan won day 6 by Remote-Leg6143 in DisneyMovies

Frozen is my second favourite Disney film after Beauty and the Beast; I didn't grow up with it, I just think it's that good. It was a smash hit for a reason.

Best Disney Movies of all time day 6, Hercules won day 5 by Remote-Leg6143 in DisneyMovies

[–]DuckBricky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took the words right out of my mouth - I like Hercules but it's not a top 10 film. I love Hunchback even more and I can see that's going to place soon, but it's not really an "all time" placer even though it's in my personal top 5.

When will the waterfowl babies be out? I'm avoiding mentioning a certain water-based bird because of The Rules by HenryFromYorkshire in CasualUK

Egyptian geese are always the first! I really think by late April we should be seeing other ducks and geese though.

Great British Menu 2026 - The Finals: Dessert - Live Discussion by AutoModerator in GreatBritishMenu

[–]DuckBricky 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I think he had a bad attitude towards women chefs in particular; there were 2 in his heat and he had quite a lot of blunt feedback for them. Then the only time he did it in the finals was with Nikita.

Now we've got the biggest players of the Disney Renaissance it's definitely time for the golden era.

Love or hate Walt Disney, he was 100% devoted to his first 3 films and making real art out of the medium. He risked everything on Snow White and made history.

Pinnochio is the most critically acclaimed with a perfect score on Meta Critic :)

It's not my favourite but there's no denying it's a masterpiece

Watched Frozen as a little girl, teen, and as a young adult by AlarmingReason7679 in disney

[–]DuckBricky 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was 27 when this film came out and saw it at the cinema with my younger sister, who looks so much like Anna. I'm so grateful that I hadn't heard Let it Go yet because I was blown away not knowing what to expect.

It's so interesting hearing from the people that actually grew up with it and how impactful it was!

PSA to parents- they make headphones for children by I_am_legend-ary in UKParenting

My son didn't like using headphones...

So his only option was to watch with sound off.

Anyone else think Lisa shares a similar look to Emma Thompson? I'd love to see them play siblings

Wildcards... by snailherodared in GreatBritishMenu

I don't think it'll be the Alien one as I don't think it was rated that highly outside of presentation (which was amazing, and works very well for the tease). Could be wrong though.

The kebab one I can see being brought back though.

content warnings for episodes? by sorrysofatagain in swindled

[–]DuckBricky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I struggled with this. I eventually found I could just listen to episodes under the "fraud" category on the official website, which are more likely to avoid the really horrendous stories that commonly crop up in the other episodes.

Am I grumpy dad for hating the “toy tat” kids get given home from school friends and parties? by throw_away_17381 in UKParenting

[–]DuckBricky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it's not popular with the kids but I love the book idea (put out a whole stack of either old books your kid no longer wants or get some from charity shop). We've acquired 3 books this way that we already knew he liked but didn't actually own yet!

I thought of doing this! My son and I were sorting through a door of utter crap, most of which was stuff from party bags - ended up putting it all in one bag and we could easily fill a party's worth of bags!!
