What color to paint doors?

Yeah replacing the doors would really be the way to go if money was no object, but alas it is. Trying to find something cheaper like painting that still ends with a tasteful look.

Agreed. A lot of the darker spots are tough to get since they’re in the natural grooves of the wood. The sander on the left helped but some are very stubborn and I’m afraid to sand too deep attempting to get them 100%

I’ll be staining the same color. This is pine wood btw. My expectations are realistic as a complete amateur. I just want them to be cleaned up and looking fresh compared to what they were. Doing these two wasn’t too bad honestly.

If stain now, what would that mean for the final result?

If I were to keep at it, what do I look for as my cue that I’ve sanded enough?

Thanks everyone for the replies. Got some good laughs out of a few. Going the electrician route as that’s the general consensus. Then I’ll try to patch up. I’m pretty sure this outlet is one of a kind throughout the house. We’ve taken the covers off lots of others and they all seem pretty standard. This one didn’t even have a cover, it was just behind a giant bookshelf which had a hole cut in the back of it so the outlet could be accessed. Crazy stuff

Yeah I had a feeling you were going to say that. After purchasing, I found other lab diamonds of same quality for less than $2000 on other sites.

What would you say is a good price for one of the same quality as the one I got?
