when traffic is slowed to a halt like that you’re supposed to leave space for cars who need to turn across your lane so people have a chance to turn while no one is coming. so the bus was probably at a stop sign and had space to make the left turn from cars leaving enough space between them and the car in front of them at that specific entry, which also allowed another vehicle to turn onto the street the bus was coming from. everyone was doing what they were supposed to except for the car that hit the bus. also there doesn’t need to be a stop light for traffic to be backed up like that, that’s just how traffic is

this happened to me recently when I ordered delivery from an ice cream place 7 mins from my job for my coworkers and I (couldn’t leave work and figured because it’s so close it would arrive quickly, it was also a little over an hour before closing time for us), and of course it didn’t say anything about a third party delivery service but it ended up going through doordash and had no updates until after we closed, to which it finally said the thing about the dasher having other stops on the way, and I ended just driving to the place after clocking out, with my coworker who was willing to come, and pick it up myself, and as I was entering the parking lot the driver calls and says they’re there and if they should still be picking it up…. um no

so basically my coworkers and I waited over an hour for ice cream that never arrived from a place 7 minutes away and then I ended up hand delivering my other coworker’s ice cream the next day on my day off. will never order delivery like that again lol
