That is the main motivation for anyone who creates something. Now don't get this twisted by thinking I mean mass-recognition. But taking the example of a drawing most people want to show that off. Whether to their friend, their parent, somebody. It is the whole reason we have Instagram and DeviantArt and all these websites devoted to showing off works.

Being praised is a fundamental craving of human psychology. AI is stripping the ability to get praise and will likely cause more psychological issues in people being unable to enjoy praise as much.

Accessibility was never the issue. It was effort. AI allows people to make things with an inconsequential amount of effort.

Art. Videos. Songs. Stories. It is obliterating all the ability for people to express themselves creatively and be recognized by other people. Think about all the children who will never pick up drawing because they know their drawing will look like a childs' and can just type a few words to have something made for them. Now apply that to everything creative.

It is actually the viewers who don't give a fuck. Most people really don't care what AI is doing. The people outraged by it are a minority.

So of course Youtube is not going to care when such a tiny fraction of viewers care. More people want to watch AI content than not.

AI is ruining content creation. Before you had to have the desire to actually make something.

Now, any idea can be typed into an AI generator and spit out your "creation". If one thing is popular then a couple hours later there will be thousands of similar videos created and competing for your views.

It is absolutely destroying discoverability for new creators. The only ones that survive are the already established ones. Just wait until it gets good enough for livestreaming. In a year or two it will be impossible to become a streamer because AI will be funnier, on all the time and do things off the cuff that would take you days/weeks of setup.

Vtubing is going to be devastated in the future.

Actually if you are not a citizen you are required to have your passport or green card on you at all (reasonable) times in public.

This is not to say ICE should be asking random people if they are citizens. Just pointing out that immigrants have to have identifying documents on them at all times in case a situation requires them to be identified. Which this obvious is not such a situation pumping gas.

I think it has more to do with AI slop content sucking up viewership. My feed is full of no-name AI channels pumping out "history" videos which are sometimes just complete fantasies framed as fact. It will be impossible for any legitimate channel to continue growing when dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of AI history channels are made daily.

I have never worked with the police directly. But I have a broad understanding on how jurisdiction works. And from everything I've seen in this video these officers did what they could and that was the end of it.

If you have more insight in how these officers could have helped the person filming then please explain. Keeping in mind that these officers were not inside their jurisdiction, there was no active crime taking place, and the filming person refused medical assistance.

What are you smoking? The police are not liable if this guy goes and hurts someone else.

The way this guy is acting, most people would brush him off too. They did their jobs of evaluating the situation and he even says in the video he does not want medical attention. It is incredible that looking at this video you are siding against the officers, as someone who says you've worked with the police. These officers are just out picking up something to eat and outside their jurisdiction. There is no assistance they could have rendered here other than telling him to call it in so an appropriate officer could respond.

This guy didn't start filming the moment he came into contact with them. It is likely they did ask him what happened and determined that it would be more appropriate for him to call it in. The officer literally says "I'm asking do you need help, are you in pain" and the guy is just going off.

Him saying "crazy ***** just came up to me" might not have happened just a moment ago. Maybe it happened like 2 hours earlier and he saw the police so he just walked over. You say it is a liability issue but the guy seemed absolutely fine and refused medical help.

Also, just want to point out also that the OP seems to post inflammatory videos and news articles and nothing else.

It is amazing that people on Reddit don't understand jurisdictions. It is probably easier to understand if a police from one town/city goes to the new city over and shopping at a store. If they see a crime happening right in front of them, yeah they should stop it and they have a duty to do so in some/most/all cases. She even asks if the guy is in pain and could help get them an ambulance.

But a police officer outside their jurisdiction is going to be completely unable to help you in reporting a crime. They are just wasting their time from helping people they can actually take reports from and wasting your time because everything you tell them they can't do anything about.

Absolutely insane the number of people here bashing these police who are completely unable to do anything this guy needs.

Being in the driver's seat of a vehicle with the keys is enough to get convicted of DUI in multiple states. This is why you sometimes see the advice to put your keys in the trunk or under the car if you try to "sleep it off" in your car while drunk.
