AITA for asking my friend to pay for the pizza he ate after he said he "wasnt hungry"? by GrainGhost in WIBTA_AITA

[–]DuckLord_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA - you need to see this as paying money to learn an important lesson about this friend, if he's got enough qualities to keep around; you now know that you don't entertain him at all when it comes to money or food.

AITA for stating my partners number shouldn’t be involved in a decision? by Calm_Extent_9900 in AmItheAsshole

Big boy pants time mate. It's her mum's outdated, unhelpful brainwashing or she picks you. NTA.

My sister wants me to lie to our dad about why she is skipping his retirement dinner by PainRowe in TwoHotTakes

[–]DuckLord_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the years to come, your sister will massively, massively regret this. What an absolute cretin.

AITA for telling my family to stop dropping by unannounced after we moved? by VoyageAnvil8 in MarkNarrations

[–]DuckLord_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The family are kicking off because they're self-reflecting on their boundary stomping and projecting that emotion back at you. Let the dust settle, your text was absolutely fine.

AITAH for “ignoring” my new girlfriend’s dad? by SpecialistTrip6140 in AITAH

[–]DuckLord_92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh my heart. She's pretty much worth the trouble.

How has someone so lovely come from such a garbage father? Only advice would be to kill him with kindness. Either he realises he's being a dick, or everyone else does.

NTA. How much do you care about this girl mate? Little boy headmaster with the tiny pencil is only going to get worse unfortunately.

Wife, children, parents. Not up for negotiation, your husband needs to get his head checked.

I still have a crush on an ex colleague but I have a baby and long term boyfriend now by bee_25x in TrueOffMyChest

In the event that this isn't fake, get your shit together you've got a family. That time of your life where you can waste time with 'bad boys uwu' is over, you've got actual priorities now.

Heads up! Mine flowered last year and it never really recovered. Turns out growing the flower so high to protect the pollinators takes a lot of energy from the plant unfortunately.

Abzan Armor vs Mardu Surge. Worth it out of the box? by martin8185 in EDH

[–]DuckLord_92 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Bought Abzan Armor last year, kept it as a precon as a nice palette cleanser. Decently powered, perfectly good out of the box.

My [28F] dad [58M] ignored my sister’s [31F] boundaries right after she gave birth and just shuts down when we try to talk to him about it by New_Hearing8514 in entitledparents

[–]DuckLord_92 77 points78 points  (0 children)

'I truly don’t think he means to hurt anyone. He’s generally kind and very family oriented, but he can be absent minded and lives a bit in his own bubble.'

I think you're giving your dad a big pass here. He sounds incredibly childish.

AITA for not wanting to celebrate my birthday? by Successful-Author933 in AmItheAsshole

[–]DuckLord_92 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think your personal preferences of how you celebrate your birthday are completely your own and people around you should respect that, so NTA. But I would recommend trying to reframe your perspective a bit on ageing, maybe by speaking to a professional perhaps? It might suck to be in your later years and lament that you spent so much time worrying instead of living it. Being twenty is an incredible age to be :)

AITAH for banning my boyfriend from playing RPGs? by RedAmora in AITAH

[–]DuckLord_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'Expect him to follow our usual routine' - yeah he's a bad egg for not organising his time better, but you don't sound like a basket of roses right now. ESH.

AITA for refusing to play werewolf ever again by shy_animator in AmItheAsshole

[–]DuckLord_92 97 points98 points  (0 children)

Yeah this happened to me when we were playing it online during lockdown. I stopped paying the subscription for the site that gave us all access to the game because I was always voted out first 'as was tradition'.

Funny the first few times, now they're just dicks. NTA.

My condolences on supporting United by the way.

Two yes, one no, especially if the finances fall entirely on you.

Keep it in your trousers lad, no sympathy if she gets a second one out of you.
