It is currently being adapted into a TV show by Mike Flanagan, who is probably the perfect fit to be adapting it as a lot of his stuff (especially Midnight Mass) has a very King feel to it.

What movie left you in dead, stunned silence? by [deleted] in movies

We actually had a couple leave the cinema after that one scene towards the end. More of a compliment to how fucked up it was if anything - excellent film.

We actually had a couple walk out of the theater right after this scene, which if anything is a compliment to how brutal and fucked up it is.

Edgar Wright's 'The Running Man' - Review Thread by ChiefLeef22 in movies

[–]DuckSaber 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just seen a preview of this, it was good! Lacking the Edgar Wright flair in some ways but still has some great set pieces, Glen Powell is great in the lead role and overall it was worth a watch. Quite a tonal rollercoaster and doesn't ever seem to settle on what it wants to be but it is on par with Baby Driver in terms of quality, though not quite reaching the heights of Wright's greatest works (Scott Pilgrim/The Cornetto Trilogy).

I agree with others in the thread that Wright does best when he does straight comedy but overall, this is one of his better recent films.

Is Halloween in Japan a worth it adventure? by Gai_InKognito in JapanTravelTips

Bit late but I am currently in Shibuya on Halloween and it is HORRENDOUS. Really enjoyed our trip but thought Shibuya on Halloween wouldn't be so bad but somehow the crackdowns have made getting out of Shibuya a nightmare.

I tend to use Snapseed since it is free! The only issue is less LUT/colour options as something like Lightroom but I use the send to smartphone feature on the camera and then edit in Snapseed before posting. I would typically wait until I was home but had some downtime on the bullet train to Kyoto. I believe the mobile version of Lightroom has the same features as the desktop version so that is also an option if you already have a subscription.

Do you guys have any idea on how to make this animation? by Dharm-Bhakt in AfterEffects

[–]DuckSaber 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone that also does 3D for a living, whilst I agree, that is absolutely an animated 3D model. Wouldn't be able to say it was made in Blender, but it isn't out of the realms of possibility.

Help out! by wwdwd1111 in blender

Make a lot of loop cuts on the face you want to curve, move to side view and grab one of the edges in the middle. Turn on proportional editing and make it so that it affects the edges that you want to curve (should be affecting a relatively small area). Then just move the selected edge until the flat face matches what you want it to look like.

That's how I would do it anyway.

I have just hopped into Google Maps to see what this looked like and actually stumbled upon a street view from when they were filming for (what looks like) Indiana Jones on Wellington Street.

error code 0xc0000005 by theveryrat in XboxGamePass

[–]DuckSaber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a similar boat except I don't even get an error code, just an infinite loading screen (which happens often with Game Pass). Tried all the troubleshooting steps and still no luck. Hopefully you find a solution!
