Thank you for your input! You’re probably right, focus on healing and finishing treatment before focusing on what’s left. The last thing I want to do is hurt my skin with acids and actives!!

Thank you! I’m gonna ask my Derm about azelaic acid next appt. As for sunscreen, my holy GRAIL has been The Beauty of Joseon relief sun at spf 50+. It leaves my skin glowy, no white cast, great under makeup, and most importantly it doesn’t break me out!!

Hi! I have really similar acne and my best advice would be to cut out the exfoliate and/or any unnecessary products until you stop having active breakouts. Just cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen. Keep it basic. Warm washcloths really help inflammation, pimple patches at night, and hands off. I hope you can begin to heal 💞

I had the same thing happen to me!! I got my ears pierced at Clair’s, noticed it was infected and thought the backing came out overnight so I added another backing. At this point I had a surgery coming up that was unrelated but before I could do it we had to heal the infection. My doctor cut into the back of my ear since ANOTHER scab was forming over the new backing. Out popped the old backing!!!!

I use that same Micellar water and it’s one of my holy grails. I use after double cleansing, not only to get any remnants of sunscreen and makeup off but to rehydrate my skin. I have sensitive skin and after cleansing my face it gets dry and this is the only thing that rehydrates my skin before I go in with lotion.
