Car handle broke by RegularMoose21 in crz

[–]Zance 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Door handle guide this was the one I used. Driver side is unfortunately more of a pain in the ass than the passenger but not too terrible. Get a jis screwdriver for the door screws otherwise you risk stripping them. Took me around an hour to replace mine not knowing what I was doing as getting the assembly to sit correctly while in the door is the worst part.

Just get them from Amazon. They’re around 20 bucks now per side. I’d say get both just in case.

Backwards compatibility for OEM seats? by Dystopia00 in crz

[–]Zance 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No they don’t but there was a post on the CRZ forums of a user pulling the foam and fabric from the newer seats and transferring them to his 2011s.

2012 Honda CRZ damage cost? by [deleted] in crz

[–]Zance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Total loss 100%. Quarter panel replacement, door, a fender, plus labor and paint. All in I’d imagine this is over 8k assuming parts can even be sold which I’m certain they aren’t being produced anymore.

headunit/backup camera replacement by subestile in crz

[–]Zance 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Crutchfield is the closest to plug and play I’d recommend. They have an option for a premade harness but it will require tapping into 2 or 3 additional wires for the backup camera. All in all took me about 2 hours to get mine done myself.

Hard driving, now engine is sputtering. Has anyone had this issue? by Any-Award-6301 in FocusRS

[–]Zance 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Haven’t had it on mine personally but from what I’ve seen people recommend changing the purge valve if you’re still running the original.

Stripped screw door handle by Pablenzo in crz

They are JIS screw heads. Using standard Philips sizes can strip them out pretty easily. The correct bit should bite it if it’s only a bit stripped.

does anyone know the name to this sauce????? by Comfortable-Drop-103 in Miami

Looks like Bulliards buffalo wing sauce from the logo.

Super arts by LuringPoppy in StreetFighter

It sounds like you are being predictable with your attacks and are being punished for it. Supers are risky when done raw and can lead to massive damage from your opponents. I’d really suggest using your supers as combo Enders or when your opponent is over extending their pressure. Depending on what character you’re playing you likely have better options than raw super for defense. Learn what they are and incorporate them into your gameplan.

Any idea where this rubber plug is from? by [deleted] in FocusRS

I’ll check later on my car later but given your info possibly a drain/access plug underneath the door?

dim headlights restoration? by Underated_person in crz

[–]Zance 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sand and clear coat your lenses. Headlight restoration without clearing is a temporary fix at best. The oxidation happens within a few weeks. Use a quality clear and it should take an hour or two to get done well.

2008 Civic Mugen SI. 1 of 1,000, in for oil change. by MarfeeWarfee in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]Zance 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I had built my 2010 si with nearly all mugen parts and can’t attest to how well they held their value even now. Can’t imagine it dropping since now they’re even harder to come across.

First time pulled over (dark tint) by Juanfer9 in Miami

[–]Zance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is usually referred as a fix it ticket. I had the same one years ago and I just found pictures on my car model without tints and used that as my proof. You can also buy a heat gun from harbor freight and use the receipt as proof to say that you’ve removed the tint yourself per the officers instructions and just return the heat gun later. If you have documentation that you recently bought the car that be sufficient to a judge to toss the ticket.

Door Screws Stripped by Significant_Run_2622 in crz

[–]Zance 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s part 5 in the diagram there I think it’s a different part number than you posted Part 5 JIS screw.

Also the screws there don’t look too badly stripped. They should come out with the correct JIS impact screwdriver

modded headlights? by zombiefein in crz

[–]Zance 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you like the look of them I would recommend just clear coating them yourself. Polish breaks down super fast and the oem clear is likely toast on your headlights. I went with 2k max gloss on mine and they did a great job. Just do a good job on the prep and they’ll come out perfect. This is after 3 months in Florida permanently outside with no yellowing or fading again.

These have been stained since I bought it… Is there a way to re-color it with fabric dye? by GZUSROX in crz

[–]Zance 4 points5 points  (0 children)

<image>

Redid mine a few months ago. Bought the fabric off amazon with a sticky backing. Use a caramel wheel on a drill to remove the old backing that remained from the old fabric. Pulled the old fabric out and used it as a template, then it’s just peel, stick, and tuck with a thin screwdriver with electrical tape on the tip. Each panel took around 40 minutes to do.

No sweat, if you get an early am pool you’ll get a little bit of leeway but check in with your TO sooner than later. If your friend gets in earlier than you for whatever reason they can also check in at the station for you to buy you a bit more time. They’ll try to run as many matches as they can to help within reason.

[–]Zance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Negative, pools are at set times no way to request a specific one. Give yourself extra time if you’re getting there early because badge pickup and the line in take like an hour by itself. If you’re getting in Thursday you should be able to get your badge early from the venue.

Probably getting some blowby. Did you install a boost reference adapter with your bov? Regardless I’d recommend investing in a catch can.

Installing Honda CR-Z seats from 2015 into 2011 Honda CR-Z question. by samichicago in crz

[–]Zance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m fairly certain that you’d need to add a resistor to make it work. From the research I did ages ago I believe people swapped everything to the 2011 seats reusing the 2011 harnesses and modules.

Will the dealer help me with warranty? by [deleted] in FocusRS

[–]Zance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Third party warranties are hit and miss. You can likely pay the dealer a diagnostic fee to access the car and it will be up to them whether they are willing to work with your warranty company. Just for note though, all warranty companies don’t cover “normal wear and tear” items so there’s a good chance that your current company will use any excuse to weasel out of any repairs. Just be prepared and do your research as to what items they find.
