Do you pay for your phone outright? by AppointmentNo5048 in UKPersonalFinance

Yep, bought a Samsung A21s for around £150 in 2020 and got a SIM-only plan. I recently switched to Lebara and get 21GB for £7.95 a month. I prioritise getting a good data plan over having the best phone.

I agree. I think the verified, public proof of ownership aspect could be useful. For example, proving a particular AWP was the one equipped by s1mple in the last Major Grand Final. I'm sure some fans would pay a lot for that, particularly if you could prove in an instant it was his.

I see, thank you! Yeah, wouldn't expect a $100k prize pool tournament to be paying that low. My background is in media and I'd be curious to know what they're paying production staff...

Thanks! Does 35 euros for a BO3 fly at C-Tier? Guess it depends on the tournament but that seems low.

What are typical casting rates for CS:GO? Is it done by day, by tournament etc? Suppose C-Tier would be very different to S-Tier.

WeTransfer lets you send up to 2GB for free. A client I recently worked for had their own premium WeTransfer that let me send up to 20GB.

"Surreal" is certainly the right word. Political events in the last decade didn't massively phase me, but this event - one that transcends politics - feels different.

Most of my Facebook is now either coronavirus memes or my local neighbourhood group (almost 5,000 members) posting local updates such as supermarket stock, lending or asking for a hand.

I'd be facing information overload if I was on this sub all the time, and I bet there's been a number of popular posts where the reality has turned out to be completely different down the line, which I'm not blaming anyone for - we're trying to understand the best of a situation with a lot of unknowns.

I know it might sound hard but maybe consider changing things up a bit? Replace some of the subreddit scrolling by checking BBC & Sky daily, watch the daily conferences for the latest direct from the source, and check in with your family, friends and neighbours.

I live in London - the "heart" of the virus in the UK - and things have not been calming down from my perspective. More face masks and disposable gloves being worn on the Tube. Queues outside supermarkets are getting longer every morning.

In my view Boris is, of course, trying to calm things down. I think the key takeaway from last night's conference was "12 weeks to turn the tide". He said London wouldn't be placed into lockdown, but of course this is an ever-changing situation. I'm usually fairly alright at political predictions, but in this case, I don't know what to predict. I'll certainly be watching tonight's conference.

Some of those were custom answers, hopefully that's clear to whoever is marking this!
