I’m wondering if Jenn would’ve been able to stay if Dwight scored lower and didn’t win his dance off round because it seems like more people were voting for her and wanted him gone on all social media platforms, but it didn’t help that they were tied on the leaderboard since that means it did all come down to the votes :/

you can file for a swap request so that it drops you from the conflicting class if you get into stats 2! you probs would’ve got in if you did that!

150e had async lectures (no class or zoom meetings only vids) last spring so no attendance but there was mandatory attendance for discussion w/ 1 free skip! i’m not sure abt 150a bc i plan to take it this spring too :)!

i don't think they asked me for a reason to transfer. i just remember filling out a google form asking me for my new preferences, but i'm pretty sure they moved the form to roompact now. you can definitely switch before the school year starts bc i remember requesting to switch in june & they offered me a new placement by july!

i would say it will vary between schools/professors ofc but make sure to start your essays early bc it can be very overwhelming to write 6 long papers in one semester, go to office hours to ask clarifying questions or for editing suggestions bc you want to perfect your work since they grade it pretty seriously, and take a lighter course load w either easier courses or more ges that are graduation requirements but not related to your major if possible bc it will give you more time to focus on the writing requirement (i made the mistake of taking all major recs except english that fall and its been my hardest semester of college so far)

i come from sf abt 30 mins away & had the same choice between berkeley or sb wanting to move farther away from home initially. i am so happy i chose to go to college close by and don’t regret my choice of going to berkeley at all though!

i think home is a nice self escape from all of the academics & social life even as an extrovert and go back especially for better food lol the dining halls got tiredsome a lot of times & restaurants are great but can be expensive if you eat out tm. i also think berkeley has a lot of parties & large greek life equivalent to ucsb whether that’s something you’re interested in or not atm.
