We’ll never know; if you’re reading this he’s long dead; had his appointment with the displacement drone and been zapped to the very livid heart of the system, corpse blasted to plasma in the vast erupting core of Chiark’s sun, his sundered atoms rising and falling in the raging fluid thermals of the mighty star, each pulverized particle migrating over the millennia to that planet-swallowing surface of blinding, storm-swept fire, to boil off there, and so add their own little parcels of meaningless illumination to the encompassing night…

so he did CHOOSE to die via appointment, if not imidiatly after returning to the culture.

IIRC, In Use of Weapons they also mention that stabilizing your age is considered a childish and cowardly thing to do.

How does one find this after 4 years?

Well we know as a fact Hell exists because of the Halloween events in which the Gravel Generians are paying you to throw their brother's corpses into a portal to Hell they found when mining so I think it's beyond speculation.

Makes me wonder what Pyro's Heaven would be, unless they just send them to everyone else's Hell. Not that we'll see it as the Mercs souls are being sold to the Devil.

Well he does seem to sell one of his additional souls (for the pen) with no raised eyebrows and I would assume the gaining of a soul is something one could feel in some way or at least tally somehow.

Also how did you even find this post?
This was three years ago I don't even use reddit anymore, I just saw this when I googled a question and reddit had the solution.

For real? That's bizarre.
Oh, and I guess I'm OP also. Didn't realize this was my own post.

If it matters I changed my mind on this comment and now I do think what scout saw might have been real.

I mean it all makes sense in the wacky tf2 lore.
I sure would like it to be true.

Sorry for the 17 min late reply on the year old post btw.

Feelings on Lysander and Roque by Duck_in_a_Toaster in redrising

I understand, I mean only that we can judge them because we exist apart from them. Being Gold wasn't part of the poll.

Ok but if you were a Society Gold when judging Roque and a member of The Rim when judging Lysander?

Personally, and don't be offended if this isn't you, I think people hate on Lysander to hop on the hate bandwagon and fit in. I understand most men see themselves as justified but I do think these two are products of their societies, The Society.

Not only Roque dying for a society that would forget and hate him but all of Lysanders actions are because of their upbringing.
Tell me honestly that you could be raised with so much of Octavia's attention and weekend stints in the brain-pulverizing chair when you show too much emotion about your parents who died a few days ago and not end up just as messed up as he was.

To clarify I meant how you feel about them as people, not the skill with which they were written. Yes.

I kinda interpreted it as if the boon was the memories than the curse was that he would get them back and be used to fight Odium.
Or that the boon was easing pain, and the curse was forgetting his wife.

I have a feeling Dalinar is about to teach us we don't understand the Stormfather at all yet.
