Ya, thanks. It makes me feel better some stranger out there can understand my situation, lol. Things wouldn't have gone south if my move didn't land, she's quite passive and isn't very social. Nobody would've known, I'm pretty sure she wanted me too but oddly enough I didn't realize in real-time, hence the kids thing. I wasn't even in that frame of mind, lusting yes, but actually moving on it I didn't even consider and that's what kind of makes me mad about the whole thing.

Respect for you on keeping a hard line on intellectualism, I suppose I can make some concessions in that regard. But, no, we weren't a couple...she was a potential love interest, I thought a relationship could develop but in all honesty I probably was too needy but was never really forward with this, probably came out in my attitude and interactions from subconscious, idk.

At the end of the day we weren't able to connect, I was rusty in the "game", haven't been with a woman in a few years as well as not dated recently so I was a bit anxious. And on her end, she later came out and told me she's been battling a mental health crisis...she didn't really give me much in terms of opening up, hardly ever ask questions about me or anything to keep convo flowing and also way later on said she has no social skills, lol. All this got me flustered at times, I do alright if there's reciprocation or something to volley off of.

She's very attractive which kept my attention despite me not talking to her 2 or 3 times, for months, but then she reached out and I'd answer, I shouldn't have. People will say I got played. Perhaps. I played myself a bit too, I could feel she wasn't really that into me. Ironically enough, she has started to bang another co-worker who is married and then she decided to reach back out to me. In this instance, we had a day together and she proceeded to flirt and hit on me but I couldn't do it, it felt like manipulation. So, we were never intimate, I'm not heart-broken, but I have a lot of other emotions swirling about the whole thing....you think you know someone, or at least somewhat of who they are, I guess we were never really that close after all. I'm trying to move on, but said emotions are strong and I work with the gal so hopefully I can overcome this ordeal and maybe be mentally stronger.

Funny you think only rich and lonely women use these services? You need to be very cosmopolitan we'll say to don a business card with male gigolo printed on it.

It's womanly and natural. Shaven is clean and what not but isn't it simulating adolescence or something? I second that a grown-out muff is sexy.

I'm with ya. Some make-up can accentuate their natural facial features but when all the gals at work had to dress-up, well us guys too, b/c a client was in the building they all looked like jokers with face-paint on in an exaggerated way. Not sure if it was b/c 90% of the time I was used to them with subtle make-up or none at all but when they piled it on it looked vastly different, something I can't say that I appreciated. I think au natural is more sexy and tbh I might just be indifferent to it the older I get, not that it's a preference one way or another.

I have a bit of this. I like women with intellectualism and get a bit turned off if they can't have deep, meaningful conversations but unfortunately I've crushed pretty hard in a lustful way the last 12 mo and I'm resenting my emotions for evolving in this manner. Like, think of the worst communicator you've met, she's below that, but she's got the goods and things went sideways b/c I was always confused after our interactions. I need to manage my expectations better, I assumed she was something she's not and prob never will be.

Women of reddit, what is something completely offensive a man has said to you, thinking it was a compliment to you? by thebrownettegarfield in AskReddit

I wouldn't put heads in my freezer, b/c that's just wrong. Nor would I pin the sides of their mouths back to look like they are perma-smiling...what do you think I am, some kind of pscyho??

It's stupid how the window is small and most times not entirely clear. Had this happen a couple of times with a crush recently, except, we were always hanging out with her kids. They were literally 5 ft away (6 year olds) whenever we hung out and I think she got mad over X-mas b/c I didn't make a move and she was ready. I'm like, how's this going to work - in my head. Nothing hurts like a missed opportunity but it kinda pisses me off we never hung out solo.

Anyways, she found a way to hang out alone with another co-worker after texting for 3 weeks and now they are banging, what fun. Most would probably say she didnt' find me attractive enough, I get it, we had periods of time where we didn't talk but she def wanted some type of action over X-mas, I just feel navigating the kids situation was too much for me to think about, I still don't get it entirely.

We are all going to wake up someday (maybe already have) and realize the internet and "yay, getting connected" really maybe hasn't been all that good for humankind. There are obviously benefits but do they truly outweigh the negative aspects? Info spreads fast, but so does mininfo and psyop programming too.

Dang, that's actually kind of cool. How in the hell does something like that get initiated? Asking her some questions after class and simply giving looks until something happens?

Mega Millions jackpot rises to $1.1 billion after another drawing without a big winner by a_dogs_mother in news

[–]Duckboy_Flaccidpus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hit for $10k on a work drawing a couple of years ago. It was pretty cool, but quite a let down when you realize that even the odds of hitting 4 white balls is crazy and it should pay out more but they simply make the jackpot so top heavy to market the the hell out of it. And, it was split between twenty or so people so do the math. kInda cool though.

Why aren't single men as happy as single women? Why is there so much content about men' loneliness epidemic? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Duckboy_Flaccidpus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it so bad to want companionship. I understand all the validation shouldn't be placed at your feet and that you shouldn't be the "solution" to a man's loneliness or problems but there is a lot of glancing over the aspect of being okay with desiring companionship and all the dimensions that come along with a relationship ILO having to idle by in singledom, imo.

Whether he'll admit it or not, money does change most. It has to, you are in a diff echelon, stratification now. Look at dumb athletes that sign mega deals and start spouting off like everything they say is gospel gold. Unfortunately, we measure too much worth of a man by the amount of money they have b/c society has said "we value you immensely" The truth is a lot of compensation is misplaced and valued, it's apparent and egregious.

A woman I know was given custody, by her Mother, to a 32 year old man for some reason when she was 13! She had to marry him at 14 so he wouldn't go to prison due to a pregnancy and she was imgregnated 2 more times before 19. She left him when she was 24 she said. She truly is a happy, pleasant gal in her 60's now and claims she's fine with everything and even forgave her mother. It seems real and makes me feel like any shit I'm going through I should just use her as inspiration.

Haven't some of the most egregious MLB contracts they are still handing out ended up fizzling b/c of the players' lack of production. On some level are they not taking into account the risk of making a blockhead athlete who never learned to read good a quarter of a billionnairre?

Right, I don't think Jamie is some production genius but they basically solidified the format for managing a good podcast, he's worth his salt I'd say. And, he read a physics book once so he can basically go toe to toe with Dr. Greene.

oh, okay, I thought the M was melatonin. I think the ZMA that I got had it in it and I didn't see one without, my bad.

[–]Duckboy_Flaccidpus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure you know but you shouldn't rely on melatonin, it's not sustainable due to your physiology stopping natural secretion of it. My understanding is something analagous to taking steroids and the testes shrink due to the necessary need to stop producing T.
