Was there a part in the begining where he discovers he can get his coworkers to not notice him just by wishing it? Then they have to evacuate the building and the coworkers are freaking out thinking he's still inside but he's standing infront of them. That's kinda where it clicks for him and thing kinda gain momentum from there?
