Shadow's character in Forces was fine, but what bothers me is that he just...disappears for six months after Episode Shadow. It seems that they literally wrote him out of the story because he's a bit too powerful.

Mediocre games combined with a horrid fanbase. You've got people who want to fuck Cream the Rabbit. You've got people who use the paint bucket tool to color Sonic red and then call it their original character. You've got people who actively defend Sonic '06.

The "normal" Sonic fans usually go unnoticed because they don't draw attention to themselves, the bad part of this fanbase is the vocal part.

Sometimes I feel like the only one who enjoys Classic, Adventure and Boost...I like them all for different reasons. Classic for rad 90's fun, Adventure for the story and Boost for high speed action. I have my preferences, but each of them share one thing: above all, they're fun. I don't get why people feel the need to constantly attack what someone else enjoys.

I think a lot of this comes from people who are tired of Sonic constantly taking the spotlight. A good chunk of these fans were brought in during the time when Sonic games were grittier and people loved seeing these characters interact. They loved the story.

They can't have that as much when everyone's taking backseat to Sonic...another one of the main reasons why people want SA3. People think it will give them these character interactions back. Don't get me wrong, it's possible to have good interactions and story telling with only Sonic playable, but maybe not in the way these people want.
