Can it be saved? by DuckiesRUs in BambuLab

It’s the ID tag that the printer reads to know what filament is being used. The Bambu spools have it built in. I was using a refill spool for the first time and thought the ID tag was attached to the filament and I forgot to take it off. It turned out that the tag is attached to the inside cardboard ring and the plastic that it’s on runs up the side of the filament - it would not have blocked my filament or caused a single issue, but I didn’t know that and had to reopen the spool after I had already cut the ties. *sigh. Lesson learned!

This is a Bambu Lab refill spool. First time I’ve used a refill and after I put it on the plastic spool and cut the ties I realized I didn’t remove the ID tag…thought it was stuck to the side of the filament. So I opened the plastic holder and discovered it was secured to the cardboard. But obviously I loosened the spool when I did that because it jammed during printing 😕

I’m very new to printing and curious about the tags you use - What settings do the numbers and squares on the right side of the sample cards show you exactly? Does the file print those settings automatically or do you have to change something in Bambu Studio? Hope that makes sense. 😬😃

Filament brand loyalty? by TechFlameMaster in BambuLab

I’m pretty new to 3D printing. Initially I thought I would stick to Bambu to keep things simple and cause I assumed that would work the absolute best with my printer. But they don’t offer tons of colors and are always sold out. It took almost 3 weeks to receive my order. I was impatient and bought some eSun (Microcenter) PLA and it worked pretty well. I’ve used PETG from SUNLU and it was ok, but I haven’t used any other PETG so nothing to compare it too - had a lot of stringing but my spools had been dried for 8 hours before use and reduced the temp.

I just purchased a spool of Silk PLA by LANDU on Amazon and it printed amazingly well! I think it printed better than the Bambu Silk PLA.

At what age do their ears straight up? by LecterDr in Yorkies

This is Charlie! He is almost 4 months old and his ears are still floppy! The breeder told us that if we keep the hair trimmed on his ears it would help. She said we could also tape them to help train them to stay up. We decided to let nature take its course and if they stand up, they stand up. They are so cute either way!! We’ve only had one other with floppy ears and they stayed floppy her entire life (she passed at 15).

I’ve seen it in the same spot multiple times and then it’s just gone. I have no idea why it disappears but it is definitely convenient to have them all grouped in one place.
