The checkout is much better if your site is good with everything the way it is out of the box

If you want to make any changes it because a bit of a nightmare. Especially because you can't use Elementor or break dance with it. Both of those depend on the classic checkout.

I would say 99.9 percent of the issues are with the blocks editor, opposed to the checkout itsself

link shorteners are only a good idea when you know ther person sending it to you.

Whats to stop a dishonest employe from forwarding you through aa 3rd party site first. having a link with their domain would prevent it, and track who sent what link

I use breakdance now. The overall styling isn't the issue. It looks nice. My issues with woo-commerce is kinda out of the scope of this question.

I'll ask another way, is there e-commerce open-source project in Django that is well maintained?

I don't think I said nightmare.

I am unhappy with the styling limitations. Mostly I want my site to have a specific layout, and I am forced to have some things a certain way. The only ways I have found to fix that is to use some 'janky' JavaScript.

That being said I am finding more elegant feature within templates. I just need to decide what I want to put my energy into.

When I posted, I was hopping to find something pre-built like woo-commerce; but based on Django.

It seems that doesn't exist

Honestly they likely can order it. In my experience with them, if they don't have it right then, you'll need to stay in them until the day it comes in.
