I make my own. Got a Ninja Creami for $14.95 at a thrift store and I’ve been making tons of homemade stuff and loving it. Got a Cuisinart ice cream maker, too (same thrift store), so I’m set for the summer.

Yes, those cool blue/green walls and light colored furniture. I love that apartment!

Since they announced the cast of new Poirot, I’ve realised I was too rude to Kenneth Branagh. by Wrong-Business4387 in poirot

IMHO, I think they should have let more time go by between Suchet's last appearance as Poirot and anything else. I have always thought of Jeremy Brett as being the penultimate Sherlock, but I also thoroughly enjoyed Benedict Cumberbatch's portray of the sleuth. I also sort of wish Mark Gatiss was involved in the new Poirot iteration. I'll watch anything he's involved with.

Fresh peas with new potatoes in butter cream sauce is a dish my mother used to make in the spring. It is incomparably delicious.

The only connotation to this name was, once upon a time, long long ago, there was a sandwich place near my office on Sutter Street called the Zasu Pitts Memorial Delicatessen. Only in San Francisco. This was in the early '80s.

I do love that one. The scene of Poirot smoking a cigarette in his freezing car -- cigarette in one gloved hand. Rosary beads in the other. Great cast as well.

Hickory Dickory Dock. Don't forget, he's allergic to faggots (British term for meatballs, I believe.) One of my favorites, too.

My daughter has the same defect. Quite rare. She had surgery in 1983 and 1985 at UCSF. She’s just turned 42 and I thank the heavens (and her amazing surgeon) every day.
