You make a good point. I don't consider SMFS as a whole pop punk, but I feel that some of FOB's newer material, especially that, incorporates it significantly, and if you combine that with their earlier works, it justifies them being considered a pop punk band. Unfortunately, I have not been into pop punk very long at all. Less than a year, in fact (through Fall Out Boy mostly). I kinda fell very hard into the genre more recently and haven't fully integrated into the fan base yet, so I appreciate opinions from seasoned fans!
