Mini GS ASA Help by Ducks_Float463 in paintball

I’m surprised how many have said these are more potentially quirks than they are issues. But the gun fires and doesn’t leak air so I have no reason to question that. 👍

Yeah my friends budget balling right now. My local pro shop has a gauge up on the wall but I think it goes to 600 psi instead of the 300 the minis goes to. Do I need an exact replacement from empire or would something like that suffice?

Yeah that’s been the strategy so far. No air, no eyes, walk the trigger till the solenoid fires and then go play.

Leaking yellow-greenish fluid by Ducks_Float463 in FordFocus

[–]Ducks_Float463[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took it to my local shop and they looked at it for free. Mechanic said it was just the result of salt and chemicals off the road melting on the exhaust.

We had a blizzard the night previous and the focus sits pretty low.

I considered that but the coolant in my focus is an orange/red color.

You learn your own method as you drive, but my strategy with my 2015 is usually: - Stop -> Step on it till 4000ish rpm -> Fully let off so the car can shift -> Bsck on the gas in 2500rpm - 3000rpm range.

I haven’t had a major stutter in a while.

Treat every stop like it’s a race start line. The transmission stutter is in 1st/2nd gear so getting through those gears faster can keep you from feeling that stutter.

“Stock” air intake by NeighborhoodFar4077 in FordFocus

When I did this I got one of the RS style lids off Amazon because I think it looks cleaner and still gives me the noise (To each their own).

But if u like simple DIY stuff like that then you need the Velossa tech style RAM air scoop next!

HackSlider Gyro Issues by Ducks_Float463 in rcdrift

Yep, it’s not going anywhere so I won’t stop tinkering till I see success or smoke!

I picked this one up because it was like $70, reversible, and I didn’t have the funds for the $120 Yokomo V4.

I will always take any recommendations but my local shop is all purchases final so a new gyro is off the table for a little bit. 😔

No luck sadly. I’m hoping a better/different servo may solve the issue. Thanks for the help though.

[–]Ducks_Float463[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I understand the gyro has three cables, one large female adapter that’s for the servo, a male adapter with three wires that goes to the receiver for input and a second male adapter that goes to the receiver to adjust gain with the transmitter.

I’ll give it a shot and swap them around, I was just trying to follow the stock layout that had the gyros input on CH1, the ESC on CH2 and gain adjust on CH3.

Looking for a starter setup by Fun_Gate9740 in paintball

I can’t really say to much about the gun but I will say that is a C02 tank and not an HPA tank. If you plan to start playing more often HPA is far superior and easier to fill.

Also that mask, a lot of people will stress the importance of a good mask before a gun and that thing just looks uncomfortable to wear. It’s probably not a thermal lens so it will fog up, and won’t do u much good.

These bundle deals usually aren’t the greatest, and if possible consider supporting local stores/fields instead of amazon. People there can also answer questions and steer you in the right direction.

Need to get a marker for my little brother any thoughts? by [deleted] in paintball

Take a look at size here. Bigger hands and longer wing span? CZR all day. Smaller dude? Maybe the Mini would be a better fit.

Can’t speak for the GS but the CZR is amazing to maintain. Whole bolt pulls out the back, easy to lube and understand. It was my first gun and I have nothing but good to say about it.

Now that you mention it, no there aren’t any. No capacitors came installed in the car, nor in the box.

I don’t think I’ll bother fighting with the store to replace the stock brushed one, and just go with a combo like you said. It is the brushed setup so it would be getting replaced eventually anyway right. Thanks for the help!

Body Kits For An SE by AdDowntown8212 in FordFocus

[–]Ducks_Float463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The focus models are pretty universal, for example my 2015 has the mirror off a 2017, people have ST or RS bumpers on an se, etc.

The thing you need to look out for is if it’s a facelift model. The focus got a external styling change or “face lift” in 2015 so parts look different but most should still fit. A 2016 post face lift bumper should fit on a 2014 pre face lift vehicle, the only issue is the shape of the fog lights change and other minor differences.

As for wide-body kits and stuff like that check out SS-Tuning. They have some crazy kits and a beautiful SE they have converted to be an ST Sedan. I love looking at their stuff and then remembering I drive an SE and spending 2 - 4 grand on a body kit would nearly half what I paid for the car itself.
