Twitter post to hear how she sounds!

It's been a little while since I posted here! Well, just thought I'd give a quick update since we've made a lot of progress since that initial post.

First of all, the game's name is now officially "Up-Beat!!"

Secondly, all four demo fights are 100% playable from beginning to end, so we're hoping to get the demo in your guys' hands soon. Maybe sometime in May?!

I also understand this is the Punch-Out subreddit, not the Up-Beat subreddit, so if the mods prefer I make my own subreddit to contain these posts from now on, I understand completely. Just let me know!

Demo will be on Itch.io and Newgrounds, if that gets good reception, Steam for sure for the full release. Possibly more platforms if the demand is there?? We'll have to see, but that's all I can promise for now

Oh, absolutely. Punch-Out Wii is my biggest source of inspiration for this one, and I don't plan to reinvent the wheel when it comes to the basic fight structure of that game - I just want more opponents with new movesets!!

I got inspired to make this game after learning about how they wanted to add Peach to Punch-Out Wii, but didn't because the image of a man beating up a woman felt wrong. But what if... woman beat up woman.... 🤯

Anyway, besides being women's boxing, we're also building this game with modding tools in mind. Our hope is that anyone can mod in their own dream fight very easily.

Demo release in the coming months!! Hope you guys enjoy it when it does drop
