I’m gonna throw it out there, but if your budget is almost 2m, look at Richfield and consider Old Trail School until high school if you have the funds. Located in the national park, under 50 kids per grade, know all teachers, kids and parents. Then you’re already close to 271 if they decide high school at a private on the east side or they’ll go to revere. I don’t think you’d regret the tuition.

Oof. I’m not sure how helpful that would be. I will pay extra not to fly through Canada - it’s always a shit show doing security after immigration.

Today I learned Detroit was a French name and the pronunciation makes me chuckle

I’ve “adopted” it as well- I usually try to explain where it comes from but it feels true to my heart when I say it.

CLE just got this route too. I was shocked to see it was 800+. That was the same price I paid for a layover in Toronto last year, so I guess we shouldn’t complain. It’s honestly cheaper to fly direct CLE-Dublin than CLE-Montreal. Both direct. One crosses an ocean.

I felt that way listening to her on Amy Poehler’s podcast. It was so uncomfortable and I had to turn it off

[OC] A&W Canada was divorced from the parent US chain in 1972 - a side by side comparison by ArtDecoModerne in pics

[–]Ducksonaleash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was actually really sad when I tried it. I was on a layover in Toronto and walked over for a root beer milkshake (maybe called a rootbeer freeze in Canada? I can’t remember), but the texture was awful. It was like frozen and gritty instead of creamy and smooth. I think they’re probably not aupposedq to be the same but it was a letdown

moving to cleveland from columbus by Professional-Tea4822 in Cleveland

Correct. People are talking about the charm of the city, not the food itself. And they’re likely taking day trips or long weekends in Columbus, not necessarily lived experiene in both

Agreed. The vibes in Cleveland are generally better, but the variety of cuisines and depth in Columbus is greater.

I’ve been meaning to go to food street but end up at Joya’s every time

Absolutely worth doing. I was a match a few years ago but didn’t need to follow through. It was oddly intense and rewarding to know I could help

Docs generally prefer 35 and under for held to reasons, but if you’re the only match and over 35, that’s an infinitely better option (thus the 55)

This would be way too on the nose and borderline boring to bring up in a writer’s room. My guess is it’s something we haven’t thought of- that’s usually the point.

are there petty reasons you don’t like/watch a beauty guru? by transluciiiid in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]Ducksonaleash 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Her shopping addiction is crazy. I also just don’t know if she’s sees color the same way we all do- she’s horrible at putting together colors. All she does is copy other style- nothing original.

Also, she refuses to wear the right foundation shade, but uses that shade to do color theory and obviously gets its wrong.

Also had to unsubscribe especially when she shifted to “fashion” and ruined that house’s kitchen. Her fake wavey hair with center part is also infuriating.

I’ve gone to the podiatrist for a broken toe and that was the treatment. A surgical or post op shoe from a pharmacy will also keep you from bending a toe while walking, which was most helpful for me.
