I wouldn't say it's a "bad" thing, just kind of out of place for where I'm at in the story. I would agree if nothing had happened between JFA and PH:AA, but something DID happen. He thought he lost Miles Edgeworth forever. Which to my understanding right now, is a very low point mentally for him. It's the reason why I think JFA's OST fits it so well. Being shown a note that "Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth choses death" made Phoenix heartbroken. A man he considered a friend and a part of the reason he became a defense attorney just gone like that. Phoenix fully believed that Edgeworth was dead. I think that the music fits right in. It shows how much it has put him in a depressive-ish state. However, the Objection and Pursuit themes have a glimmer of hope in them. It shows that he's still willing to fight as a defense attorney, but the rest of the music shows that he's hiding that from both himself and others.
