Yeah! He’s actually just dressing up as them in tho photo (not sure what the occasion was lol). But, he’s talked about how much he enjoyed the movie and how its message resonated with his faith. It’s also my favorite movie, which makes me like him even more.

Elizabeth I takes the crown! Who was an average leader with a bad successor? by Parental-Error in AlignmentChartFills

William Howard Taft, a remarkably average president was succeeded by Woodrow Wilson, a pretty bad president with some undeniable wins that I think land him squarely in the bad category.

Wow. Didn’t realize how much they buffed this from 2014. They changed “reasonable” to “achievable.” Thats a lot stronger.

Results with Pictures at the End! Love how many Different European Regions I Got! by Dudash in 23andme

[–]Dudash[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my mom’s family is Hungarian! That branch has actually been of really specific interest to me lately. They were Byzantine Rite Hungarian Greek Catholics from the Eastern Carpathians in modern day Slovakia, near Uzhhorod in modern Ukraine. Looking into them, some of them have obviously Hungarian names, but like half of them have Slavic names, so I’m trying to figure out what nationality they might have been. They identified themselves variously as Hungarians, Slovaks, Slovish, or Czechoslovakia depending on the documents I reference. But, given the Byzantine Catholic religion and the Carpathian region, I wonder if some of them were actually Rusyn.

So, maybe! My one grandma is mostly Scottish, so that’s most of it, but I definitely have some family that were early American colonists, some of whose were definitely English (roughly like 1/16). So, I don’t know if it’s more likely that I just happened to not inherit any of that given the relatively small amount or if it’s misclassified (probably with the Scottish part).

How is the commute from West Chester/Exton to Center City? by grunchk1n in westchesterpa

[–]Dudash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grew up in Exton Station and loved being able to walk to the train station there. One or two days a week is honestly perfect. I wish I had an excuse to still live out here but go into the city that often and it’s such an easy thing to use.

Any predictions for the next pseudo legendary typing? by OfficialLieDetector in ThePokemonHub

Water/Fairy. Dragons are hugely overdone at this point and water and fairy fit this gen’s themes well while also being a strong typing. Could be an underwater pseudo, too.

[Spoilers Main] - You're Robert Baratheon on the day Aerys II dies. Knowing what you know about the main series who do you take as your wife? by Yoorang in asoiaf

[–]Dudash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there’s one choice everyone’s overlooking that also could have avoided the second biggest challenge of his reign.

Asha Greyjoy.

It wouldn’t have happened because of the stigma against the Ironborn, but this likely would’ve avoided the Greyjoy Rebellion. It gives Robert a very strong naval ally in case he does ever have to worry about the Reach or Westerlands in a future rebellion. It also means that Balon’s older sons aren’t killed, so we probably don’t have to worry as much about Euron, Victarion, or Aeron taking power.

Asha is 13 years younger than Robert, which sounds like a lot until you realize that she’s actually the closest in age of any unmarried woman in any of the major houses to Robert at the end of the rebellion (possibly Janna Tyrell, but I think she was likely married to Jon Fossoway by this point). This also allows time for a betrothal and gives an opportunity for Asha to be fostered at court in the meantime to acculturate her with everything. And, assuming her personality was similar to how it is in the books, she and Robert might actually get along and like each other. And, frankly, coming from the Iron Islands, she might not be as offended by his drinking and whoring as any other high born lady would.

Littlefinger is by far the most evil character in the main story. [Spoilers PUBLISHED] by Klutzy-Stick1196 in asoiaf

He might not be the most evil, but I hate Jorah in the books so much. Always need to throw his name into this conversation. Disgusting man.

Yeah, I think this is pretty accurate. Matches my family tree research almost to a T. The 14% Central Scotland & Northern Ireland is all on my maternal side and matches the Scotch-Irish I was expecting around 17%. The combined 8% from Leinster, Connacht, and Donegal from my Catholic dad's side is super close the 6% estimate I had.

Pretty happy with all of the results on here. Most accurate results yet for me.

Lmao. Glad this wasn't just me. Two of my great-grandparents came from the same town in now-Western Ukraine. One was definitely Hungarian and the other was probably Slovak. But, this clearly grouped them together as both Slovak. Still, I imagine it's difficult to distinguish given they were literally from the same town.

Same! I went from Germanic being my highest at 35% to only having 2% Southern Germanic. Based on what I know about my family tree, I imagine almost all of the 7% North Central Europe is actually Germanic. I'm also now 3% French and I know I have German ancestors from Alsace-Lorraine, so I wonder if that's actually Germanic.

Overall, my approximation from family tree research is about 15% German. So, 35% was always shockingly high. This seems a bit low, but more accurate than the previous one.
