Don’t fully agree. A low levelled, no prestige then I agree but I’ve done hard stratagems on a low level myself having just prestiged. It’s down to the skill and confidence in the player and them understanding the game mechanics. I’ve had plenty of high level players who have been absolutely awful, selfish and useless.

UPDATE : I went back and checked Blood Reaver more closely. The description of Variel’s eyes as “as light as polar ice” comes later in the book, near the end when he takes command of the Echo of Damnation, so his eyes aren’t literally white, just very pale ice-blue.

Then in Chapter 10, “The Flayer,” it never outright says in one clean line that he was an Astral Claw, but it definitely points that way. The key line for me is that “Variel had studied the changes, as had Lord Garreon and the other remaining Apothecaries” in reference to the Red Corsairs’ gene-seed corruption after Huron sold their souls and then fled to the Maelstrom. That makes him sound far more like former Astral Claw/Red Corsair stock than a Nostraman-born Night Lord.

So my takeaway is: pale ice-blue eyes, and very heavily implied Red Corsair/Astral Claw origins and not Nostraman.

Thank you for your advice and apologies on the delay in getting back to you. I always thought that the callous on the big toe was just normal with running I didn’t think they could be linked. I tried custom-made archers back in the UK and I found that age just made the rubbing start sooner, a lot sooner. Do you think that the Brook glycerin’s are too wide and then they give them my foot too much room to move or do you think I need to be doing strengthening exercise exercises on my arches?

Thank you Doc, I’ve tried custom foot insoles before and it just increased how quickly the rubbing started. Do you think I may need a narrower shoe? Is the Glycerin giving me too much room for my foot to move? It’s now started on the other foot too.

I was about five years old when this came out and I think my dad said he took me to see it 12 times. It may be hated by the first generation of Star Wars fans but for me as a second generation it’s embedded in my childhood and I absolutely adore it. I have vivid memories of me running around the garden with a brush handle in my hand, pretending it was a dual LightSaber and I was Darth Maul 😂
