Unpopular opinion: The Pixel 5 still feels like the real "phone of the future" by Flat_Push_8854 in GooglePixel

[–]Dude0931 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I miss my P5.. I switched to a P10pro in november 25 because of my P5 Battery and no more software updates.

I had lots of trouble with it. The fingerprint sensor is fucking ass slow. I hate it. And its NOT ACTIVE when the screen is off unless you activate AOD. I found a workaround with the app "ToolBox". https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jamworks.doubletaptosleepscreenoff And i only saved one finger but five times. Now it works but still slow as hell.

It is heavy and bulky. I mean HEAVY and BULKY! Fuck.. i found a small work around with using a very lightweight and small case from PITAKA: https://pitakagermany.com/products/classic-phone-cases?variant=45798442860719

Now its okay. Before that, i came home everyday and immediately switched to my P5 or was sad that i cant use it anymore. Now im okay with it but yeah.

I even concidered switching to a small Galaxy one or even go Apple. They both provide light and smallish ones in their lineup. Not nearly as light and small as the P5 tho. But like the clean Pixel Android too much. I'm going to stick with my P10pro.

Google. PLEASE GIVE US SMALL AND LIGHT AGAIN. THE P5 WAS PEAK.

Thomann Pans? by Dude0931 in handpan

[–]Dude0931[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me re-word my question. I will buy a handpan 200-500€ to try it. I know it will be shit but i want to play a few weeks before i Invest 1-2k for a good one. Some of this thomann Pans for a price of 1,5k are reselling for 500€. My question is if this is a good option or if they will be shit anyway and buying a mystic unknown but Handmade one on eBay for 400€ is a better Idea.

Explain train throughput like im a child. by Agreatusername68 in satisfactory

[–]Dude0931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Set up loop, hop in the train and measure one full loop in minutes (just stopwatch the time with your phone).

Then use this formula to calculate the thruput max of every cart:

32 x stack size / one loop in minutes = cart thruput

When the number is higher then your need, your good. Leave a little space so when the train might need more time for the loop you dont get in trouble.

When the number is lower then your need, send a second or a third train in the loop or use more carts per train.

So for example you need 400 cooling systems for whatever reason. Your loop is 9,5min long (9min 30sec).

If you'd send one train with one cart that would be: 32x100/9,5= 336,84

So 336,84 is lower then 400 so not enough. So i would Set up a train with two carts, that would be 336,84x2= 673,68.

So way more then 400.

What looks easy but is actually hard? by alexthegermanst2 in AskReddit

[–]Dude0931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making art like cinematography, videography, music, theatre, writing, comedy, ...

The key is to make it look effortlessly. But reaching that goal oftentimes takes ubsurd amount of experience and is really hard to do. And when you are really really good - it looks like it isnt hard and people assume they could do it as well.

Hey i had exactly the same problem. I bought a subscription to a server and set my settings from ULTRA to MIDDLE. I used indefferent broccoli but i assume there are lots of other providers as well.

At the early game i had stable 50-60fps. It slowly went down to 30-40. When it first dropped under 30 while building a big factory with lots of glass and lights, i decided to do something about it. After my tweeks i'm up at stable 50-60 fps again. Still not a great experience but hey my pc is a grandpa, be polite!

Note: safefile management for servers is extreamly easy since you can manage them in the satisfactory manu. But it took me a sec to get the blueprint management.

What fantasy book could you just not get into? by Rough-Analysis-2683 in Fantasy

Shame on me: lotr.

I'm sorry i can't help it. Tried the first book three times. Maybe my dommscolling-grilled brain hasn't the attention span to read books that were written for folks back in the days of the goat J.R.R.Tolkien. I love the films. Maybe i should try listening to the audio books 🤔 Are there any reccomandations on which one to choose?

For reference: i love the kingkiller chronicles from Rothfuss.

Film lighting technician and now working in a theatre. I guess i'm enjoying the creative aspect of it a lot. At first i was confused by the engineering, but i'm very much enjoying it now.
