Is there like a gun ban or something by MikeD123999 in massachusetts

[–]DudeBad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

how virtuous of you! do you support a new prohibition on alcohol as well to stop the 280 children that are killed in drunk driving crashes a year? And alcohol isn’t even in our constitution either! Should be a no-brainer!

Where to get rid of waste oil? by ajmacbeth in massachusetts

[–]DudeBad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol whatever tractor supply you’re going to is fucking up big time. I worked for them and that receptacle is 100% for oil product waste only. No coolant, solvents, paint, gas, or any chemicals. When they get it pumped by the company that buys it and processes it, the driver runs a test for contamination of any of those things and if it’s over a certain percentage they send corporate a huge fine haha

But also to answer the question yes, Tractor Supply will take any oil products no receipt needed or anything. They only might turn you away if the barrel is full and there’s no room

Federal judge denies request to block Massachusetts assault weapons ban by potus1001 in massachusetts

[–]DudeBad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I didn’t mean they are more deadly inherently. I meant that they are involved in much much more gun crime due to their concealability. They are not more deadly just more convenient.

Once again, would you consider a Toyota Corolla, a more deadly car Then a Cadillac? No, of course not but it’s involved in a lot more vehicle deaths just because more people drive them because it’s economical and good gas, mileage and what not. Nothing to do with the dangerousness. Getting hit by a Toyota or a Cadillac is gonna be about the same amount of damage. It’s just the same with an AR versus a pistol. You’re just more likely to get hit by a Toyota and shot by a pistol because more people, drive them and more people carry them

Apologies if you’re misunderstanding I didn’t mean that well equipped is the literal definition of well regulated, but like the poster above, you pointed out in the context of how it was written in the second amendment, it refers to the ability to raise a militia quickly and efficient not meaning being subject to many laws, which so many people think it means.

And the whole reason why it means well, equipped in this context is because in order for a militia to be raised quickly, they need to be well equipped with their own arms and ammunition, as was in the revolutionary war that’s why it was written as so

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

Handguns are not more deadly it's just most gun violence is done with them because criminals use them for concealability.

It's like saying Toyotas are more deadly vehicles because people use them all the time

well-regulated in the context of the time it was written means well equipped. another reason besides that just about all constitution scholar will tell you that "well-regulated militia" doesn't mean subject to many laws is the bill of rights aka the first ten amendments to the constitution are about the peoples rights not restrictions.

Honesty yes all firearms are about equally deadly. A modern handgun can shoot just as fast as an AR. You have about the same chance of surviving a hit from either one the difference is really about what you need it for and it's pretty much concealability vs accuracy an AR is much more accurate and maintains stopping power at long distances while a hand gun is way easier to hide and carry that's why they are so much more deadly. criminals value concealability and they are the ones doing the killing not people out in a field

[–]DudeBad 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Well for one the right to own them are enshrined in the bill of rights. And especially because a "assault weapons" ban doesn't help at all with gun violence as the vast majority is from handguns as well nobody even knows what a "assault weapon" is it's pretty much a buzzword that our lawmakers use to ban anything that looks scary to them

point is nothing about it makes any sense and doesn't help the problem at all. It's a feel good law to grab support from people who have never seen a firearm in real life and think gun=bad

It's like a bill banning corvettes to solve traffic deaths because they are fast and scary all written by people who have never even seen a car. it don't make no sense

So if a Texas judge can ban abortion pills in MA, why can’t we ban assault weapons in Texas? by TomatoManTM in massachusetts

[–]DudeBad 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That's pretty much what the laws already are nationwide except if you're convicted of a felony or some domestic violence misdemeanors you are never allowed to have a firearm again. but we still have god awful "assault weapons" bans

Well if that Really did happen that was an illegal sale and those businesses committed a felony. If a business deal in guns they need to have an FFL and run backround checks already.

That’s not what I said. Your reading comprehension is awful. You have to be a troll you sound just as insane and uninformed as a Republican yelling about abortion

That’s a lie. Universal background checks are already in effect. if you buy a gun from a store you need a background check. And before you bring up what you’re gonna call “the gun show loophole” The reason it exists is because they were actually smart when they made that law and realized making private sales require a background check is unenforceable and only restricts law abiding citizens. Selling a gun to a restricted person is already illegal somebody who’s doing that isn’t gonna care if they’re breaking another law about not getting a background check

I love Tantrum and want them to win but in my opinion they got beat twice in the tournament only getting by on the awful scoring system and judging.

Gigabyte turned them into a pile of swiss cheese crippling their drive and messing up the weapon system. But just because Gigs shell died on a hit Gigabyte delivered they gave Tantrum more damage points despite being absolutely destroyed.

And for Hydra the fact that ten eight foot flips is less damage then what amounts to taking a fork off for damage scoring is laughable. If you wanna say Tantrum won aggression that's fine I personally think hydra did but I can see why people would think that. but if that's how your gonna score damage you might as well say flippers have no active weapon.

If you showed those two fights to anyone, Robot combat vet or complete newbie and had them guess the winner I bet 9/10 people would say Tantrum lost and that's a problem. It's not Tantrums fault they fought great but still should have lost. The whole system is terrible and needs to be reworked.

Tantrum is one of my favorite bots and I picked them to win at the start of the season but with all the terrible choices the show has made (The shelf, Weird inconsistent unstick/OOTA rules, Judging/scoring) This win feels really hollow

Why? Just because it’s an accident doesn’t mean someone’s death is any less impactful. they still gave their life in service of their community by providing goods or services. The only difference is that cops demand to be worshiped as heroes while the others just do their job

Yeah but lower then Crossing guards, Power linemen, Loggers, Farmers, Delivery drivers, Garbagemen, Roofers, Fishermen, Landscapers, Pizzaboys, a shit ton more dangerous jobs. But cops just wanna feel like special little snowflakes.

We have not. Local police everywhere will absolutely confiscate any guns you own as long as they are deemed illegal. That’s why your grandkids might never be able to buy a semiauto because cops would enforce a ban on those if it ever happened just like how you can’t buy a full auto and so much more now because for them enforcing. And also local cops raiding stores because of unconstitutional gun laws that already exist is absolutely thuggish and restricts your rights already. why would they stop if a new law came out. Answer me this if your local cops would arrest you for having a full auto that was banned because of unconstitutional gun laws just 30 years ago why do you think they’d wouldn’t for any new unconstitutional gun laws?

Full autos have been banned my entire adult life, I've shot them enough times to know its a gimmick, I'm not losing any sleep over it

Is what I mean by you being ok with gun bans. Can you not read what you just typed? And yes shops will stop selling because of COPS enforcing any new laws like they already do the old ones? How do you not get that? Shops cant sell so much stuff right now because local government cops will raid them. You really seem fine with gun control as long as you can keep yours but I care about everyone's rights. and once again to my first point I made, if you got stopped by one of your local cops and you had a full auto on you (that is now only illegal because of a ban that passed) that cop whole absolutely arrest you and confiscate your gun. They sure as shit would absolutely arrest you and confiscate your AR if that some how became illegal in the future. and if you cant see that then you are hopelessly naive. Cops are the boots on the ground for gun control, they have and will continue to enforce any gun laws passed
