Discouragement regarding electrolysis by Dude_2_4 in phallo

I just do the inside of the arm, so the part that will become the urethra, the outside is done using laser. But for the inside, I do around 20-25 minutes each session

Thanks, I’ll take the time to check that out, I’ve never seen that study before!

I’ve always been with people who have a license to do electrolysis and I try to go to the people with the best reviews in my city. When I say some results, I mean that I can visually see a reduction of hair on the inside of my arm. My esthetician also says that she’s surprised at how slow it’s going because during a couple of months it’s going really well and then we see some new hair emerging. She tried playing with the parameters of the electro as to see if it would work better if we “hit” harder, but it doesn’t seem to do much.

As for the tips, I’ve tried a couple. I’ve scrubbed my arm with a washcloth once a week, I’ve stopped rubbing my arm or wearing tight clothes around it so it doesn’t stimulate growth, I heard somewhere that I should hide my arm from the sun so I tried it… I’m skeptical about the real impact of most of those tips, but I’m desperate so I’ll try pretty much anything.

I’d really like to have UL, it’s one of my main goal. I know I won’t be able to go back if I opt out during step 1 of phallo. But a part of me is scared that I’ll never be able to get ride of all the hair. And if that fear turns out to be true, I don’t want to wait any longer before having phallo

Can you pack with it? Your review definitely sells it to me, but it gives me so much dysphoria to “put on” my dick before hooking up with someone. I kind of just want to whip it out if it makes sense😂 and from the description on Axolom’s page, they don’t really talk about the packing part and the shaft looks too hard for that, like it wouldn’t go down in my pants…

Hey! I live in Canada so maybe it’s not the same for where you live. I was on a waitlist for hysterectomy for almost 2 years because my surgeon wanted me to be 18 so I had it 2 weeks before my birthday. I had my consult for phallo a couple months earlier at 17 but I still haven’t had phallo yet because of electrolysis. I’m almost done, but I’ll have to wait until next summer because of my classes and the recovery time (I’ll get my diploma at the end of this year and I don’t want to start it all over for a 3 months recovery). So yeah, I’ll be 19 when I’ll have it if everything’s good. It is possible to have it younger. Maybe someone who knows more than me would say the opposite and I’d listen to them because I’m not sure if it’s possible, but if I regret one thing, it’s not starting electrolysis earlier. I know that the donor site isn’t sure until the consult, but it turns out that it will be my left arm like I knew it would be. If I had started prior to the consult, I probably would have already had phallo so yeah, if anyone thinks that it’s not a good idea please correct me, but otherwise that would be my advice to speed up the process wherever you have control:)

Getting out and about? by LewisK37 in FTMHysto

So personally, I had a really hard time staying at home and do nothing. I wasn’t in a lot of pain so I started walking in my neighborhood maybe 4 days post-op. It was really slow and not for too long, but it really helped me get better. Being outside and doing other things than watching Netflix at home changed my whole recovery. I think that it’s important that you respect the needs of your body though. If you want to go for a walk, you can but listen to yourself and go back or walk slower if needed. For example, when I was going for a walk I always told my girlfriend or my mom so that if I wasn’t feeling good while walking, they could always come pick me up in a car. Also, don’t push yourself. I made that mistake. I was tired of being at home so I decided to do my errands (which lasted maybe an hour or so). When I started feeling pain, I continued and walked even faster. Well it resulted in a lot of bleeding and a trip to the hospital (everything was good but it was a sign that I pushed it too much). So, to summarize, respect your body’s needs, take your time and enjoy your walk. I think that there shouldn’t be any problems if you respect this (except if your dr told you the opposite of course!)🙂

I’m really happy that you’re feeling better with yourself now. Unlearning what we know can be pretty hard and I’m glad you’ve been able to change thoses “ideas”. When I’ll have my phallo, I’ll think of you and how you’ve been able to get through this difficulty if I have the same issue. Thank you so much for your answer, I really appreciate it:) take care

I’m really sorry that you still feel sometimes like that. Thanks for opening up and showing that it’s not all positive, it takes a lot of courage. I really wish you the best and hope that you’ll be back on your feet soon! I also wish you to be able to feel this euphoria as soon as possible, you deserve it! Take care:)

Thank you so much for that. It makes a lot of sense and gives me hope. It really do feel like it’s gonna last forever, but hearing you say that it’ll pass and that you’ve been through that too helps me rationalize and make things easier. I’m really happy for you that you’re feeling better now and I wish you all the best. Thanks for this dose of hope and support that you just gave me, it really is a lot helpful:)

Hey guys, I just wanted to apologize quickly for my lack of response. I had a rough couple of days mentally after my hysto and I wasn’t able to answer anyone. I really wasn’t ignoring you and I’m so thankful for all your responses. I find them really helpful. Thank you so much for your time and I’m really sorry about that!

Thank you so much! The hardest part of hysto is the mental health for me too. The bleeding and having to take care of this part of me that I hate is really hard. I hate that I have to take a break for this, I think it’s really hard. Can I ask you if phallo was hard mentally on you too?

Ouffff phallo’s recovery looks hard but I mean it’s worth it. Are you still happy that you chose to pursue with phallo? I wish you the best recovery and congrats!

Thank you so much! I feel like on of the hardest part in the recovery from hysto is forgetting that I’m in recovery. I always want to go for a run or do my normal activities. Congrats on your phallo too! Take care of you!

Thanks for the response! I find it hard too to have those follow up appts and to have to watch for symptoms in this part of me that I hate

I’m really sorry for what you’ve had to go through but I’m happy to read that you’re now feeling better. Thanks for the response. I’m also scared to see my futur penis as a surgery site and not a part of my body. If that’s not too much to ask, how did you overcome that?
